I may have missed it, but were you able to get the thrown codes programmed out when you swapped your seats? What is needed to do that?
yes, used remote programming. No codes.

I think im gonna get rid of the hood. Something about it just doesnt vibe with my build. Maybe Ill try to trade for a different one or just go back to stock. But not sure.

Seibon hood removed and sold. Im happy with the decision. Ill wait for ADRO to drop theirs and decide if I want another aftermarket hood or if im gonna cut some holes in this one for venting.

If someone makes a hood that actually fits and doesnt flutter at 120mph+, id be happy to do it. But otherwise I need some vents in my life. So that means cutting

OK Folks, help me out here. Plan this year is to finally spend some money to make some real power. My goals are around 600 whp on 93, and around 750 on some ethanol blend. Im currently downpipe (catted) and BM3 tune, but I know i need to switch away from BM3. After months of research, heres what Ive come up with. FWIW its 95% a weekend/fun/street car and i do 2-3 track events a year.
  • Pure 900 Turbo
  • Wagner Intake Manifold + Rail + 1050CC Injectors
  • ATS Stage 1 Trans
  • TMS All in one Reflex (Reflex + PnP Harness + Flex)
  • MHD License + Tune + Femto Trip to switch
  • PFS Drop in LPFP
  • BMR Pure 900 Intake
After all that is said and done it should cost me around $16-17k.

A few things im not sure of yet:
  1. Should I do the DAW 6769 instead of the Pure 900?
  2. Should I do the DO88 manifold instead of Wagner?
  3. Should I just pay for a stage 2 trans while I have it out?
Please give your thoughts and offer any help!

Any reason you're not looking at the various Remnant options? Seems like people are happy with those and I haven't read much on the Pure 900 (though maybe there is more on other BMW forums) yet. No firsthand experience just what is currently at the top of my list.

Trying to take a similar path with my car (albeit a slower pace). Get all the Suspension/Aesthetic mods to my liking and then finally bump the power. Of course when I purchased my plan was the opposite.

I looked at remnant for a while, until i heard about some oil feed issues that were being hushed up. Maybe its a fluke or maybe not, but I do know of at least one person with issues on that turbo

Havent updated in a while.

Finally got the KW's installed.... and I am rubbing, badly in the rear. Started another thread about it but it gained no traction. Talked to BC whos surprised, they have lots of sets with the same offset/tires and even guys on bags, and none of them rub in the rear.

I ended up having to raise the rear to deal with it, but it still rubs over bigger bumps. Got an alignment in case that was it, but the rear camber is not adjustable and was at -2.5, I cant imagine ill need more, but I ordered SPL arms anyways so we can try it. Hopefully i dont have to go crazy with camber to get these to fit. I guess worst case I could go down to a 295...

Other than the camber arms, not much on the way. I think the wife got me some small stuff for xmas, we will find out soon. Trying to decide what to do next, but the rear rubbing issue has me kind of down on the car.

Anyways, heres some pics of me installing the suspension as well as some wash/show pics. Enjoy!

Hello, sorry for reviving an older part of the build but how did you end up fixing your rear fitment issues? I am planning to run a similar setup but slightly more aggressive with 19x11 +33 and 305/30 19 on 200tw so I am almost certain I will rub given your findings. Did the camber arms get you enough range and what ended up being your rear alignment? Did it mess up your track performance?

No worries. I ended up dropping to a 295/30 which basically fixed my rubbing issues. I never did the camber arms as they require dropping the subframe and I wasnt ready to do that back then. I think depending on ride height and suspension stiffness you may or may not have issues. Also many different tires are wider or narrower at the same "tread with" so take that into consideration too.

Nice thanks for the insight. I’ll be switching to hankook RS4s which usually run wide in my experience and combined with eibach lowering springs it’ll be a tight fit at best.

I am also planning to invest in the same KW DDC coilovers so I’ll report back if any adjustments improve for these aggressive wheel and tire setups. Thanks!

I have pretty much everything performance wise you're looking at with the 6769 variation. Solid kit with plenty of room to continue to push. From what I have seen, you can't go wrong with either the pure or daw. Data is showing the larger daw to spool at roughly the same time as my gen 1 p800. Very happy with the results of the build you're considering.

One person had an issue. I’ve had mine on for 6000 miles at 700 whp and a hell of a lot of track time and pulls with no issues. No one else I know with this kit has had any problems.

As for your 600 whp on 93. You have two options.

meth or a larger turbo than anything discussed so far. Like a 6870 for example.

you “can” make 600 on 93 with a remnant or potentially 6769. But not safely.

in terms of your manifold, do88 and Wagner are both pretty solid options. Wagner has great service and support too.

There is something to be said about the single pass options though, even though they may be more expensive or have less data.
