Update: don't worry about it.... I figured it out...tilting the car and just adding more fluid and let it gravity bleed fixed

Well went perfect to plan... until it didn't ..Well, now I did it. Decided to remove my clutch delay valve today and my clutch pedal is non-existent right now. Opened up the bleeder to get it to gravity bleed and I bled quite a bit out (like 2 tablespoons) but very very little air came out. Do I have to use my power bleeder? I was hoping to just gravity bleed this and let it sit for a bit but it seems that may not be the case. Any suggestions? I read that the clutch master "section" of the resivior is closest to the driver side fender and windshield corner and the black rubber hose ( clutch master feed ) is like an inch from the top. Is this true? I have a syringe that is angled and can fill up that corner. The car only has 800 miles on it and that master was FULL when I popped the cap. Like into the fill neck area full

And before anyone gets on their high horse trying to talk down to me like I'm an idiot.... don't. I've never owned a BMW or any vehicle that has the clutch and brake master cylinder combined. I've bleed plenty of clutches before from my 981 GT4, BRZ, miata, MK4 supra, Camaro, and more. I've just never dealt with a BMW system/clutch like this

I bled it by having my wife pump the clutch pedal while I loosened and tightened the slave cylinder. It doesn't take much fluid but yeah as you noted keep it topped off.

Motive 0109.

Sounds like you let the reservoir go dry

Nope... I didn't... did you read 3\4 of the message down where I think to where the clutch master feed hose is?

Also, I don't know anything about that number but my motive 1100 part number fit perfectly on my master cylinder reservoir

That's the part number the plastic version of the aluminum 1109 adapter that comes with the 0109 kit.

You need the kit, the adapter alone is useless.

The two kits that fit are the 0109 and 0100. I recommend the 0109 just because the adapter is nicer, but the 0100 will work fine too if you're broke.

I'll suggest tapping the slave lightly to possibly dislodge air bubbles. I believe that the bleeder valve may not be the highest point, and a least one guy I know removed the slave to reposition it for bleeding so that the valve is higher. Different car though, so things may have changed.

I understand that you live alone, but do you have friends or neighbors that could help?

Oh - and 2 tablespoons is nothing. Bleed 1/2 cup and get back to me.

I bled about 3/4 of a cup out in total. I did update my first post. I got it done and corrected by myself

I appreciate the guidance on removing the slave to reposition it. That's actually a great idea that I did not think of

Your mom is my ride
Did this today.

Took ionno 1.5 hours including jacking the car up and bleeding?

When I unhooked the line to the slave cylinder I lost maybe 1 or 2 drops total, that's it. Probably because I double clamped the soft line lol

To bleed I did it the old fashioned way with my wife pumping the clutch pedal 5 times then holding it as I cracked the bleed screw on the slave cylinder. It took 4 pump cycles to clear the line of any air, probably about a quarter cup of brake fluid was lost that I had to replenish.

First impressions:
I'll start off by saying neither my wife nor myself have ever had an issue driving/shifting the car with the CDV in.... however this mod is still very much worth it because I now have a consistent clutch engagement point between any set of gears. And if it prolongs the life of my clutch, that's just a win/win in my book. Highly recommend doing this mod!

Ok so I just removed the CDV and ran into a weird issue when I went to bleed the clutch. I can’t get a drop of fluid to come out of the bleed nipple. I was having my wife push the pedal to the floor and then would open the valve. I thought it wasn’t opening enough at first so I repositioned the wrench and opened it more. Still nothing. Kept opening it more but couldn’t get anything to come out. Repeated this like 20 times thinking maybe there was air coming out first. Nothing. Clutch returns back from the floor no problem. Took it for a spin around the block and it drives perfect. What gives?

I too thought there was something wrong with the bleeder. It seems that the bleeder itself on the clutch master doesn't actually open until you get like 1.5 to 2 full revolutions on the bleeder screw. I actually left the bleeder screw just sit open and gravity-bleed it to verify afterwards

Oh wow I’m used to like a quarter turn to get these valves open and I went way past that. I must have been really close to where it needed to be. Guess I’m getting back under there tonight to give it another shot. Thanks!

Ok so I got fluid and a lot of air to come out but the more I bled the worse things got. The pedal had no resistance now and doesn’t return back up. I kept the reservoir filled to the neck the entire time. No idea how it could have gotten air in the system and why bleeding won’t fix it.

Did this with power bleeder when I first changed brake fluid and had no issues after having fluid come out of bleeder. No air either. Since it shares the brake reservoir, the clutch portion is towards the top and thus pretty susceptible to air if doing it like that.
