Hello,
I have a 3.0L and at my local track there is a high speed corner that I am able to push to the limit and go flat out. The issue is that most of the time mid corner my car feels like it’s slamming on the brakes and I get a drivetrain error code, and the car cuts the power and feel super slow. If I turn the car off and on then it goes away and all is good. I’m wondering if anyone else who tracks their car gets this error message in high G force corners? Fyi I tried taking this corner with traction fully off and it still throws the error code.

What mods do you have? Is it tuned? Did you hold down the TC (nanny button) down for over 3 seconds to turn everything off?

Probably fuel starve. Is it a right hander?

A scan would tell you exactly why without having to guess.

I agree with Razorlab. This has happened to me a couple times, fuel starve in my case, and it's only happened to me on rights.

Fuel starve is a rumor started by big gasoline companies so you buy more of their product. Don't believe everything you read about it.

I have bilstein evo coilovers and car is lowered. Ad09 tires. And yes i make sure that the car has VSC turned off.

Interesting. This corner is also a right for me. But I had probably a half tank of fuel though so it seems weird that it would fuel starve with half a tank.

I just bite the bullet and top off with my gas can after every session now.

When my car was lowered I’d get errors. Track or street. The JB4 for me caused similar issues on track. Is why I was asking about anything similar to that. Think of anything else you’ve done different from stock. Those issues always have to be remedied. Tire pressure or brake pad sensors, windshield sensor, steering angle, etc. With that said, it could be fuel starvation, since it’s happened to others. But for me, that’s not the case. I‘ve driven close or near empty many of times w/out issue or deviation in track times.

Bottom line, you’ve done something that pissed it off or she’s being quirky. It should be the 1st and not the later. Bring a code reader with you to the track. Plug that sucker in & read it immediately, before you shut the car off, right after it happens.

as others have said, it’s almost certainly a fuel starvation issue. I’m also having the same problem on my 2023 Supra with stock power. On sessions that are more than 20 minutes, I will reliably get this problem on track in one specific corner (long sweeping right hand corner at COTA), even if I started the session at full tank.

My workaround is that I preemptively upshift to 7th gear in that corner when I’m close to half tank. I sacrifice some lap time after around 20 minutes, but at least I can finish the session without the warning popping up (which decreases power until the car is shut down and fired up again).

Ever consider an upgraded surge & anti-slosh tank?
