Unleash the true potential of your B58TU Gen 2 engine with the Dynamic Autowerx 6969 Turbo — the most advanced stock-location turbocharger ever developed for the BMW and Toyota Supra B58 platforms. Rated for 1150+ horsepower, this full-frame turbo is a ground-up design engineered for extreme performance, seamless fitment, and maximum reliability under high boost.

The 6969 is not a hybrid. It’s a next-generation, high-output turbocharger featuring cutting-edge materials, modern aerodynamics, and enhanced durability features that outperform its predecessor, the legendary DAW 6769. Whether you're chasing big numbers on ethanol or optimizing your street setup on pump gas, the 6969 is your new go-to for record-setting power and response.

Key Features
DAW High-Efficiency Turbine Housing
Constructed from Ni-Resist D-5S alloy, rated to 2150°F, for superior heat resistance and reduced backpressure. Includes a stainless steel extended runner manifold for improved velocity and flow.

Point-Milled Billet Compressor Wheel
Newly designed compressor geometry increases spool efficiency and delivers higher flow at peak RPM, ensuring strong mid-to-top-end power.

Race Thrust Bearing Assembly
Upgraded for extreme durability and long-term reliability under sustained high-boost conditions. Handles aggressive setups with ease.

Precision VSR Balancing
Each turbo is VSR-balanced using next-gen CIMAT technology for ultra-tight tolerances and smooth operation at high RPM. All work performed 100% in the USA.

Oversized Billet Aluminum Inlet
Optimized for reduced restriction and enhanced throttle response. Supports greater air volume with minimal pressure loss.

Designed for Performance. Built for Power.
The 6969 Turbo is engineered for serious street builds, race-prepped setups, and top-tier performance applications. It delivers high-end power gains without sacrificing OEM fitment or daily drivability. With a direct bolt-on design, it installs easily with no fabrication required.

Proudly machined, assembled, welded, and balanced in the USA, and backed by a 12-month limited warranty.

never buying a DAW product ever again
Unfortunately, I am also in this same boat. Have the "revised" 6769 and the smoking issue with the turbo is ridiculous. They requested VTA from the valve cover, I did and set it up how they instructed, nothing changed. Ridiculous amount of smoke from the turbo, embarrassing.

At least you get great support and don't have to deal with a condescending prick owner.

*sarcasm*
18 emails complaining of the smoking issue - exhaust tip covered in oil, low oil light within 1500 miles - to tell me its my fault. 10/10 service.

Guess I got lucky with my 6466, no issues for me. All these dime a dozen hybrids companies are just a hit or a miss with quality control. I'm assuming this must be one of their tier 2 suppliers.

Since its usually a handful of people building them, its a risk i shouldn't have taken. Should have built my own kit with a turbo from a major OEM from the beginning. Shawn just sold DAWs to Trevor at bimmer-networks and started another company lol.

Why the hell would anyone pay money for that company? All you're buying is a bunch of warranty repairs and a bad reputation. Did Shawn even own any machining equipment?

I think since Trevor's inventory was mostly DAWs products maybe he thought he could turn it around with better customer service. I think Shawn was just franticly running around town with a truck full of turbos pounding at the door of his local welder and machine shop. HALP! HALP! Funny thing though, I honestly never had an issue with Shawn lol. He even offered to upgrade my ultralow-R to the 6466. Granted i never installed it. He was like "Good send it back, il upgrade you".

For what it’s worth, I never had a single issue with my Pure900 on my last car and I beat the piss out of it every time I drove the car. Anybody and everybody I know who has one of Pure’s new “cast” models that are no longer “hybrids” in the old sense of upgrading OEM turbos has been satisfied with it. I know that they had issues in the past but it seems like they turned it around.

The point is, they are hit or miss. I've seen "new cast" Pure turbos fail as well. Some haven't even last a month. My hybrid non new cast Pure700 was a trooper and lasted for two seasons and 40+ track days, and probably only failed because it oversped from a blown charge pipe. I'm hoping my hybrid non new cast Pure800 will be the same.

See, both of our experiences just boil down to TrustMeBro™ for the community. IMO, to lessen the probability of a failure, I would skip the Hybrids and buy from a Tier 1 mega-giant, Garrett and BorgWarner. The engineering and R&D at these companies are an order of magnitude beyond what hybrid companies offer. Fuck it, I'll throw in Precision, XonaRotor, and ApexTurbos, but in terms of quality control compared to Garrett and Borg... who knows.

I mean, I still call them hybrids. It's still a copy-edit-paste of the original BorgWarner design that the dime-a-dozen companies are selling. Pure, DAWS, CTS, Vargas, FPG, PumaSpeed, LaderManufaktur, TurboSystems, TorSports, SpoolPerformance, TTE, RTMGPerformance, Muchboost and the list goes oooooon and on.

Glad I found this. I was actually wanting a bottom mount solution and DAW was at the top.

I guess I will go with a top mount from KLM or ETS. Leaning more towards ETS since it seems to sit lower and allows me to use bracing.

Look into DocRace and Spool as well. I know there are people here who will hate on the log style manifold that the Spool uses, ignore them. In real world usage the difference is negligible.

My experience with the 6769 has been good. I have noticed a small amount of smoke every once in a while, nothing that would make me think "oh shit my engine is blown". Just a small enough amount to make me wonder if I just saw smoke or was my mind playing tricks on me. I think thats normal. I only had 1 issue, but its my fault. I didnt replace the gaskets for the coolant lines and I have been leaking a little, but I tightened the screw and it seems to have stopped.
