Won a giveaway for Front Windshield PPF from AeroWerkz. They also did my full body PPF so had them do a check up.

Removed the JQWerks MadTrace Steering Wheel Hub with Sparco Wheel and replaced it with a G8X LCI Steering wheel.

JQWerks Wheel is for sale

G8X LCI Steering Wheel
  • No SRS Airbag Light
  • Uses 3 Stage Air Bag
  • Cruise Control works, LIM button does not work since it's a feature not offered on the Supra.
  • Infotainment/Radio Controls work
  • M1 Button works, turns sport mode on/off. M2 button does not work because the Supra does not have a 3rd mode. Sport+ will work with the M1 button. It's possible it could be programmed in the future for some other function.
  • My set up utilizes a Manual Transmission steering wheel, so no paddles or openings on the back for paddle shifters.
  • Cruise Control - Buttons are specifically for MT. I've noticed a lot of sellers will use the AT button controls which include radar buttons in the middle. These buttons do not have radar control, it's just a black panel.
Everything works as it's supposed to, no SRS lights, no CEL, it was direct plug and play. No coding needed. In order for the M1 button to work, a module was installed in the center console.

Got it from a local seller in SoCal.

Curious if etching will become an issue with wiper use.

They said it could if there's a lot of dirt and debris on the wipers. It has like a 2 or 3 year warranty too. It's not my daily driver and the car never sees the rain so it's all good for me. And it was freeeee.

About how many hours did it take them? And, what do you think afterwards?

I actually like the current shifter feel (Z4, so a little apples / oranges perhaps, but thinking they're actually really similar). But always up for improvement.

Maybe like 1.5 to 2 hours.

I like the shifter, the throws are only shortened by a little bit, nothing dramatic but the shifter feels solid. The rubbery feeling or vague feeling is gone, overall I like it. I also didn't mind the stock shifter, I felt over the stock shifter and clutch are very friendly to anyone learning manual but for me I wanted something that felt stiffer with a solid feeling without feeling kinda soft or loose.

When you put it in gear, does it feel like you hit a solid wall?

I assume it’s the G80 version?

Like I hit a solid wall? I dunno about that, but it feels firm and stong. I didn't like how the OEM shifter could feel like you could break it, even tho it wasn't really possible.
Ok maybe solid wall wasn’t the right way to put it.

I got the AutoSolutions shift kit and it did take out a lot of vagueness and that rubbery feeling.

However, when I put it in gear it still feels like I hit a bit of rubber. Does it feel like you have solid stop when you put it in gear?

Just trying to see if the rear carrier bushing mount would be worth adding.
