Hi All, looking for some input here to help me make a decision. I have a 2026 3.0 premium manual trans. Looking for ballpark estimates on noise level of the following exhaust setups. For a scale, I am calling stock exhaust in sport mode as 100%, and if a setup is twice as loud, call it 200%. I am unsure what the quietest single exit is, so looking for opinions on this too. Appreciate any input.

Stock w/ valve open = 100%
Stock DP w/ AWE touring (none resonated) = ???
AA Catted DP w/ AWE touring (resonated) = ???
AA Catted DP w/ stock exhaust = ???
Stock DP w/ quietest single exit = ???
AA Catted DP w/ quietest single exit = ???

Everyone and anyone's input on noise level would be subjective here. It would all be based off individual personal feelings rather than actual data like decibel readings. This is like people that rank pizza with a "9.3 rating", how the fuck do you quantify .3?

You would be better off just stating what kind of set up your looking for, like a DP + Exhaust loudest set up or quietest but louder than stock set up. While this would still be subjective, there is still a general consensus on what exhausts are the loudest versus quietest and inbetween.

YouTube is a great source but it also doesn't compare to hearing it in the cabin as the driver.

My goal is louder than stock for sure, but not straight pipe mustang loud. My previous car was a mustang 5.0 with an h-pipe in place of the resonator as the only exhaust mod. I would like to match that noise level with a catted downpipe involved.

You’re welcome.
Thank you, I will check that out.

AA Catted DP + AWE Touring Resonated = 130%
VRSF Catless DP + AWE Touring Resonated = 160%

This is having done both of these and only on WOT, normal driving its tame.

I've heard the Valvetronic open and closed, closed valve it's not much different than stock, open valve it's very loud especially with a catless DP.

Really just depends on how loud you actually want to be (or, how quiet you want to be), I'd just check that exhaust comparison video that was mentioned above.

dude, just talk to some local Supra owners at a weekly Cars & Coffee in your area and ask to hear/listen to their car. I get why you posted but at the end of the day, it's really difficult for us to truly quantify this stuff. We can say "this exhaust is louder than that one", but even then that's pretty subjective. And I'm old, so tones probably sound different to me than 20-30 yr olds. My custom straight pipe isn't that loud to me, but to other Supra owners, it's extremely loud.

There is cars and coffee in my area. Ill have to drop by and talk to some people.

After listening to the comparison videos, the MADE motorsports single exit is the exact tone I want. YouTube videos make it sound not terrible loud and the quietest of single exits since it has 2 resonators.

you lose a lot of the lower tones through the phone/PC/youtube, so just be mindful of that. I used to have the HKS exhaust and it sounded a lot more raspy online than it did in-person. In person it had a really nice low-end tone to it.
