Un-fkn-believable. What a drive. From the pit lane to a podium.
From P19 to P13, a puncture! Last again, to P3. No rain, no safety car that helped him, nothing. Just pure, raw talent.

Lewis from P13 "Can't do anything from here"

Max from the pit lane, "hold my RedBull"

Insane.
C’mon… what about the power system changes and new suspension setup. It was clear he had a hopped up car. Where would he have placed without those changes.

I know Max is a really good driver but no need to swing from his nuts that big. 😂

Hamilton was driving a 3-wheeled tractor. It was obvious that car had serious problems.

I feel bad for Leclerc, he got the worst outcome from that initiated contact from Piastri.

Hats off to to Kimi, that 19yr old is proving to be a serious future contender.

You can't change power settings from qualy to race. No more party mode. Hasn't been around for years. All they did was put a new engine in, but the output is no different.

They changed the suspension settings.

Hamilton drove a "3 wheeled tractor" because he literally rode into the back of another car, on a straight. His result was his own doing.

The other car was in a podium position and doing just fine.
I felt bad for Charles too.

His car really wasn't any faster on the straights. His gains were in sector 2. Whatever they fixed, it seems like it was more to do with the balance of the car than just cranking the engine to 11. I read that Honda doesn't have a "party mode" map like the Mercedes engine does, either, although that's just speculation.

Max's drive yesterday was echos of Lewis in 2021; once again proof that when he isn't being a stroppy git he's quite admirable! :drive: 😝

Norris seems to be almost relaxing into it now, the performance differential between him and Piastri is back to where it was IMO. Piastri is probably the faster driver, but Norris is more consistent - similar to 2024.

Ferrari... why pay £M's for a driver that they just don't want to work with, that post race interview with Hamilton was very telling. As for Le Clercs luck... I wouldn't want to share a plane with him! 😂

Lando is 49 points ahead of Max after Brazil. In the last 3 weekends (including a sprint race) if max wins all 3 & the sprint, and Lando finishes 5th in all of them, they will be tied on points at the end of the season and Max would win the tie breaker with 8 wins over the season to Lando's 7 wins. But somehow, I don't see that happening.

You never know, maybe Michael Masi will be the special guest race director at the remaining weekends.

Some might enjoy this. I generally like the channel. I don't know enough to comment for or against his opinions. I thought it fun enough to watch I thought others might too.

I think Danny was wrong. With an entirely new power unit, the team is allowed to select whatever power mode they want. So the new unit provides 15 to 20 more hp and a different/better mode adds even more.

That doesn't take away from a terrific drive by Max. There is no question he is one of the all time best drivers in F1.

I think I'll enjoy the last few races of this season more than almost any in the last 10 years. And we'll see how much things get shaken up by the new rules and new cars for 2026. No more DRS and now moveable wings front and rear should be a real challenge to get used to.

On top of that, older engines are simply not as efficient through wear and tear and lose out on tracks with long straights. Teams definitely swap in new PUs on tracks like Spa, Vegas, and Interlagos, and will run older engines at Monaco, Hungary, or Zandvoort where it's harder to pass and you can negate the lower horsepower.

Not sure WTF Norris was doing. Did he know where the first turn was? Or way overestimate his grip? Shot right by it.

Someone really needs to figure out how to make this race even remotely interesting as this one is yet another snoozer this year. Last night’s qualifier at least had a bare knuckle feel in the rain. Maybe next year they skip welding down the manhole covers for a little extra excitement 😉 Hats off to Hamilton fighting his way to the 10th spot.

Too bad about Lando & Oscar. But this will make for a VERY interesting last 2 weekends.

Kimi should have got the drive of the race. Max just passed Lando at the start where Lando F'd up. From there it was just a cruise with a faster car.

Kimi drove from 17th on the grid to 5th at the end. And he gained 3+ seconds on Charles over the last 5+ laps so the 5 second penalty only dropped Kimi 1 place instead of 2 places. And he did drive 48 laps on one set of tires! And then gets gifted 2 more places... thank you very much McLaren! 17th to 3rd! Nice drive Kimi!
