My car is a 6MT, 470'ish WHP on e50, catless dp. Car has 12K miles and have only two track days, and it's been stock power for the first 10K miles. Feels like trans slip but I can't imagine my current power would cause that. Any other ideas on what can cause this outside of trans slip/clutch slip? Mods below

Catless DP
e50 MHD OTS tune (flex fuel)
HKS Coilovers
Recaro seat
Madtrace wheel hub w/OMP wheel

No CEL but I do have driver restraint light and srs (airbag) light's on

If you're on the stock clutch, you're clutch is cooked.

It's pretty well documented that the stock clutch doesn't really hold up past stock power/torque levels. Time to upgrade to PTB.
I've considered it, but there's also no smell and the car hasn't been abused except the two track day's I've done.

I might be a special case but I was on MHD OTS E50 flex fuel for about 35,000kms with spirited driving and my clutch didn't slip once.

Thank you guys for your input! I need try my 91 pump map again and I will report back. If it "fixes" the slipping issue, this thread will be useful for those who run into the same issue... Surprising the OEM clutch is that weak.

It's not really surprising because it's been well documented since 2023 lol

Apparently! But I haven't really spent time on the forums to see =/ But diving deeper into clutch threads, I do see the complains in there.

With that said, instead of running a 91 map, I basically just diluted my current tank until my system read 20% E blend. Pulls in third, fourth, and fifth no slip.

So less power, no slip.

Generally when you bump the HP significantly, most people upgrade the clutch plate and disc. The pressure plate to keep well pressure on the disc/flywheel and the disc to grip the flywheel surface.

I haven't upgraded since I'm still at stock power. However, I did see all the threads pop up when the MT's first came out so part of my plan for when I do eventually add Downpipe + Tune is to upgrade to a PTB Clutch

I thought I was reading a Honda Civic thread... all sound no go.

If you're not smelling the clutch, did you fully disengage traction control..?

Here's a pretty typical "the clutch won't handle a modest increase in HP without slipping" scenario/story. The user has already glazed the clutch friction plate and flywheel face with poor clutch skills/operation. The first sign is clutch slipping under maximum torque application or a modest increase in torque/power. It therefore follows in the minds of some that the clutch is a weak link and the internet explodes with the fictional or frictional story, lol. It's the same reason that some people can basically get a whole of vehicle life out of a clutch and other people can trash the same clutch under the same power output in 10,000 miles. Thats why manufacturers won't warranty clutches. They know whats going on.
