Gears Not Engaging 2023 6MT - Really need some help here

I think you mentioned the original clutch dying after only a few miles. I'm wondering if there isn't an issue with the car itself.

What issues did you have in mind? Potential for a lemon?

Clutches are consumable parts. Having one replaced under warranty is near impossible, let alone having cause for a whole car return. Unfortunately, Toyota will argue your original clutch was worn as a consumable part and your new clutch and/or install is the cause of your new problem.

Edit: Just re-read your original post and while I don't think its related, those very short drives are awful for an engine. 🥲

I’m asking what he had in mind, had no plans on bringing anything to Toyota.

Post is about my clutch but since you brought it up, short drives 3 times a week and car gets driven plenty during the weekend. Glad to know you don’t think it’s related though .

Short drives can be really bad mate. Car doesn't have time to warm up. I say that from experience as I drove a car into the ground that way. Hope you get it sorted at any rate.

You’re definitely right. My weekends might offset it a bit but will have to keep that in mind when choosing the Supra over the daily in the mornings.

Let’s see what happens next week (hopefully). Will keep the thread updated once I find out what the shop has to say.

Hard to say.. but if the original clutch failed ridiculously fast... and the new one just isn't working.. you have to consider something besides the clutch being the actual cause. The odds of Toyota AND your mechanic messing up an install are pretty low.

All true but also, Toyota is unlikely to care, especially after your own mechanic has opened her up.

If the mechanic finds anything odd, I'd contact Toyota about checking out the transmission and other related components. If something is wrong it would be an uphill battle, but it would need to be done.
