How many miles have you driven the SUPRA and are you satisfied?

I'm at ~2200km, just did my break in oil change a few days ago. Coming from a BRZ as my last daily, it's a huge upgrade and overall I'm really satisfied with it. I really appreciate the split personality of the car between Normal and Sport mode.

Driving my MR2 is like an assault on the senses. Which is great fun when I want to drive it, but wears me down after a few hours.

So it's nice to be able to have fun in this when I want, but I could also throw it in Normal mode and just eat miles on a long road trip on the other side of things.

There are a few things I don't like, but things I'm perfectly fine to live with.

1.) The wind buffeting issue is a joke, it's easy enough to fix so it's w/e, but it really should've been taken care of from the factory by now.

2.) Getting in to reverse on the MT requires a fair bit of force, I find myself basically slapping the gearstick to get past the gate in to reverse most times.

3.) Lack of exterior trunk button is a bit annoying

4.) Supporting Apple Carplay but not Android Auto in this day in age is just stupid. Fixed easily enough by getting an iPhone but I would have preferred to stick with Android

5.) iDrive system/sub menus are a bit cumbersome coming from cars where the only options you have are TC On/Off or Car on/off but I've gotten used to it

6.) I think it's kind of weird that the scroll wheel on the steering wheel doesn't control volume, and the volume buttons aren't used to change track/station, but I just use the dial/buttons on the dash so nbd

Purchased a 21 and now a 23 MT, both new. Put 8,900 miles on the 21, sold it and bought 23. 5,100 miles on it now. I adore both of them, but I will say the 21 wasn't built as well as the 23, as it also had an interior that never stopped making noises. The 23 doesn't really make a sound inside.

Like others, I decided the steering wheel had to go and a beautiful & thick custom unit from @NitroYellowMKV went in, along with a 500gr steel shift knob, both of which really changed the feel of interaction with the controls of the car. An intake and a catless downpipe really let the B58 sing, while a wind buffeting fix allows you to hear everything with the windows down at any speed.

Provided the future ups and downs of life allow it, I plan on keeping my A91-MT forever. Mark my words, the MKV is going to age beautifully, especially in the future of soulless glorified golf carts silently rolling around, in various generic shapes and shades of white & silver.

Reading the other replies I feel like I'm driving too much. I've had my 2023 MT for 4 months and I have almost 10,000 miles on it. I daily drive it to work and take it whenever I go see my sister or parents. When winter rolls back around I'll go back to driving my Tundra.

I drive mine every single day as well, im at 13,000 miles 9 month ownership

The interior isn't like horrible, but I wish it was a little better. I replaced the steering wheel and I also did interior lighting and was fairly simple to install and made the car look so much more premium. The interior is okay... but for a 2020+ model so many other cars are looking so good these last few years

I wish the hud showed RPM, or at least something more useful than just speed. But at this point I'm nit-picking. The car it sell drives great, my catless dp and ARK Exhaust gets a lot of compliments, I do think it's one of the best sounding 6 cylinders on the market.



I am 15K miles, original owner 2022. It's my daily, and my only car. I don't expect to get rid of it anytime soon.

New manual got it a couple weeks ago. Drove about 150 miles in 2 days. Then dropped it off for full ppf over a week now. Miss it so much. I also saw they took the car apart to do ppf. It was sad to see the car like that. I just want my car back ?

Sounds like high quality ppf- I wonder what percent of ppf installers take the supra apart (ie tuck the edges) vs not.

Yea man I never thought it would be this detailed. The installer told me the car is like like an egg shape. He is taking his time to do it properly. I saw mirrors, door handles, rear bumber corners, stop light, interior door trims, roof trims, Toyota and supra badges are all out. He said the hardest part is front and rear bumpers since too many ins and outs on them. I can’t wait to see finished look. Hoping there will be no loose parts and rattles after pick up the car that will make me go back.

A year in and hit 10K miles. I'm very much satisfied. I love driving it and have been tracking it a lot more recently too. I minimize how much I drive it in the winter but not to 0. I have winter wheels for it.

Edit: the interior rattles and squeaks too much. That's my biggest complaint. Can sometimes kill the mood while drive but otherwise I try to ignore it ?

The rattling and squeaks are my same complaint tbh. Sometimes it's just jarring lol. Especially going over bumpier patches of road.

I am the original owner of a 2020, about 9000 miles.

Great chassis, great engine, great body style. Easy car to work on, and mods are cheap (by car mod standards). It's a good platform to build power.

But the fit and finish of the interior is a Superfund Site-level dumpster fire. The door cards rattle. The B-pillars rattle. The trunk rattles. The screen rattles. Some unknown crap in my center console rattles. All the panels around the seatbelts rattle and buzz. It is the single worst car I've ever driven for interior rattles, and I've driven dozens (hundred+?) of cars.

The steering wheel is anemic. I replaced it.

The lack of Android Auto is positively criminal, given that ~50% of the phones sold in the US are Android and 3/4 of the global phone sales are Android. I added it, but Toyota is full of shit on this one.

The wireless charger sucks.

BMW iDrive sucks. Too many menus, too many nannies, too many ECM sub-modules. Wish it had a Hyundai-Kia infotainment. Coding is especially pernicious.

I really like the seats.

Cruise control and audio buttons should swap sides. I said what I said.


Factory alignment is meh. Lack of OEM camber control is double meh.

BMW is a bunch of assholes for using TTY bolts.

I like the car, because it's composed and fast. But good Christ is it an abomination on the inside.

//edit: the ZF is so f'ing good I'm considering swapping one into another car of mine. It is _unbelievably_ fast compared to manual and other autos. I think the only transmission I've felt was faster is the Porsche PDK. It truly feels like a DCT.
