The Toyota Tracker website has finally switched my car to "freight". Going on vacation, so I am hopeful it will at the dealer by the end of July. I would guess that it could take a 2-3 weeks to get from the port to the dealer.

I received mine surprisingly quick when it got to that stage, i was in processing and instantly went to the dealer the next day

My arrival keeps changing, and taking longer, unfortunately. First was 7/23, then 7/29, then 8/2, now 8/10. Online tracker even says up until 9/2.

My car physically hit the port on 7/2/23. Dealer arrival was pushed back yet again to 8/10/23. It's taking a LOT longer to get from the USA port than it took on the boat ride over. Looks like Toyota just has some really shitty logistics, which makes perfect sense because their dealer lots still dont have hardly any cars on them as compared to many other manufacturers. And, I'm not in the camp to say it's still Covid's fault as it's almost the 2024 MY. I am sure there are still some residual side effects, but this bad? Or, Toyota is just holdingh back cars to sell them over sticker. Luckily, I only paid MSRP for my Supra.

At this rate, I'll be able to pick up the car only to put it away for the winter. Oh well. Keeps some miles off of it anyway!

Sucks that your car keeps getting delayed with it being so close to delivery. From what I understand there's still some pretty bad logistical problems getting cars from ports to dealers. I don't know if it's labor shortage, or just changes in how freight companies operate post covid. Probably the 2nd one.

It's looking fairly likely that my car still hasn't even gotten on a boat. Which makes it over a month delayed at this point. I've been without a car for 10 months now (other than my wife's car) and my patience is wearing thin. I'm to the point where I'll be test driving potential alternative options on my day off tomorrow.

There is nothing else I would want to purchase, maybe the new M2; it's a super long wait for one as well.

Yeah. The new M2, despite its looks, is high on my list. But that’d be an even longer wait.

I tried to test drive a used Supra on Thursday at one of the dealers I have a deposit at. They wouldn’t let me, so I pulled my deposit.

Anyway, might not matter because it turns out my allocation actually got on a boat in late July and as of today is at port. Now the wait begins for the freight portion.

The online tracker FINALLY changed to "ground" which means it is on a truck, or about to be. Fingers crossed for next week!

I thought ground actually meant that it's at the dealer. Though I'd like to think your SA would tell you. Regardless, if it's just on a truck that's still good progress!

Edit: guess the tracker does say that it could mean both. Hope it's a quick trip and avoids bad weather...

Ground: Once the vehicle reaches the dealership, it enters the ground stage. This means that the vehicle is now on the ground, either on a truck or already at the dealership's lot.

Salesman texted me this morning and sais that it was supposed to arrive today. I don't know whether it did or not. Hoping Thur Fri or Sat to pick up the car. Damn, I am impatient.

The wait is just about over. Should be able to pick it up this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon.

It took my Toyota Dealership 4 days to get the “Codes” emailed to them to start the car and have the techs set it up.
Please let us know how it turns out with your SUPRA!!!

They got the car on a Tuesday and I drove it off the lot Thursday afternoon. Like this car so much better with a manual, and I liked the ZF8 in the 2.0 I had. Now to get 1200 miles on this thing so I can let her rip!

It's been over a month now since there's been any tracking updates on my car. While I plan on driving it year round here in the Denver metro, I really don't want to pickup it up in Nebraska in the dead of winter. May have some tough decisions in the months ahead.

Yeah, I am really hoping my Supra arrives at the end of winter. I have only ever driven my Miata in winter and it can be a bit tricky. Can only imagine how hard it would be with 382+HP on sport tires lol.
