Following. curious if anyone has installed the 'v3' version. AA dp is next on my buy list but if it causes CEL I'll go another route. Not about to keep reinstalling the downpipe especially if they're advertising and selling for a premium price.
If I install mine this weekend I'll let you know. Debating on waiting for my exhaust just to do everything in 1 swoop but I'm very impatient and it'll be another 4-6 weeks before my SP1-R exhaust comes in

Yup, I emailed AA through their contact form on their website but haven’t heard back yet. I’ll keep you all posted.

Definitely wondering about the different versions/batches. I had ordered my downpipe October of 2023 and had it installed February 2024 and if I recall, the bad batches were reported around that time frame.

AA has the specific info so hopefully they can determine if mine was part of that bad batch group. Regardless, I’m hoping they offer to replace it. Otherwise I might just bite the bullet and go catless. I just really don’t want to have to deal with emissions bs down the road and here in Colorado, the emissions places love to be sticklers because of our “fresh Rocky Mountain air” despite us having terrible air quality in the recent past.

is this new? I feel like I searched high and low for something like this before
I've seen it on FW website for awhile, ~6 months-ish.

I haven't seen anyone with a Kenji dp say they got a CEL, but have seen many posts where people use other defoulers and get a CEL.

So I'm thinking the FW defouler is pretty good?

I feel like I should buy a lifetime supply of like six of these for all my future cars

Those things work like 1 out of 1000x, if that.
The armytrix dp seems to have a very high success rate (myself included), and i believe the precious metal shavings are the key to making them work. What I remember, the Big Daddy's garage spacers worked as well, the mesh is what failed.

Definitely going to be apart of the bad batch, prior to GESI screwing everyone, and I mean a lot of people, AA's failure rate was less than 1%. AA will replace it under warranty for you, just reach out and ask for Rob or Alan.
