First post seems the most relevant one here.

Will the interior be using a BMW infotainment system, or a system and layout designed by Toyota?
Maybe add to that: Will it be possible to get this car without a screen? I prefer single- or double-din radios with knobs over whatever happens to be fancy any given year. I don't get why, but all infotainment systems look dated upon release, use shitty screens and input/navigation options are always crap (I'm really looking at you, Lexus!). Can I at least rip out the infotainment system without the car throwing a fit or basic utilities (tach, fans & heating, ...) stopping to work?

Will it be offered with cloth seats? Leather smells bad in car interiors and is much less comfortable to sit on.

Same reason I signed up here - just to put my OP regarding the manual, been posting ever since. My question would be:

1. Is Toyota following the Supra tradition of the MKIV (eg. NA, Turbo & aerotop combinations).
2. I'll reinforce the first post, manual? if so why not.
3. Has this car been developed to take over from the 4th gen supra or is something else on the cards?
4. What have you gained from the BMW partnership that's allowed you to better the new concept car?

Is Toyota committed to sticking with this platform and improving it for generations to come?

I'd like them to continually improve the car like GM and Ford do with the Mustang and Camero.

This one made me think of a similar question.

Will this platform also underpin a Z3/86 and Z1/SF-R as some have speculated?

sorry to go off topic, but someone here mention that the LFA was suppose to be a V8 aluminum body Toyota with a price tag of $100k-$150k. however, the project got hijacked by the Lexus division. is there any truth behind that, or was that just some silly online rumor?
That is incorrect. The LFA was Tanahashi's project from the very beginning.
Correct, it was always going to be a Lexus halo car; however, it definitely was an aluminum body car for 1/2 of its development before they scrapped that idea and went off the wall with full CFRP, magnesium, V10, and the other crazy stuff. I'm almost willing to bet that transmission was an older piece as well.

Did officials from the forum go to Geneva? If so, did a Q&A session take place?

My question would be is when did Toyota settle on the Supra name? What were some of the other candidates?

There were none. This wasn't a random car that they made and just took a pick from a list to decide what to call it. Like it or not, this car was developed as a Supra from its very inception.

But in the interview with Jack H. he said there were other names they were looking into. :what:

Yeah, I remember. A lot of people mentioned the possibility of other names. But since the very beginning, everyone I know at Toyota has called it the Supra. The core engineering concept was made in that image.
