Hey, all. Has anyone noticed a measurable difference in ride comfort around town with the larger sidewalls of an 18" wheel and tire setup when compared to stock wheels? I would like a setup that does not require spacers, and I also have H&R lowering springs to consider in the equation.

I assume there are handling improvements, as well? Thanks!

What offset are those wheels? I love the width and fitment, absolutely mint!
The 10" wheels were 30 offset. 11" wheels are 40 offset. Now on a different setup.

18x11s ET40 all the way around on 315-30-18 Falken RT660s. 3mm spacers at all 4 corners too. Also now on coilovers.

Has anyone here noticed better ride quality after swapping to 18" wheel setup?

Love seeing this set in the wild! Mind if I toss these photos on our 11" square article? I assume the 3mm spacers were needed up front for clearance but were they also needed in the rear for clearances or just an aesthetic choice?

Tom - I have been meaning to send you over some final pictures but have had no time lately! Feel free to use whatever I post.

Spacers were needed all around. Fronts for the springs. They didnt rub while just sitting there but did rub on hard turns. Rears were the same way. Didnt rub sitting still but rubbed the fender liners when having some fun. 3mm spacers solved everything besides the fronts rubbing the liners at full lock.

You can see a little to the left of the nut where it was just barely rubbing, the little darker line.

Gotcha, that makes sense. RT660s + 315s are quite wide so I'm not too surprised. I'm still impressed at the amount of clearance this chassis has front and rear all things considered. Thats an immense amount of tire for a car that still has the factory liners.

Forgot to ask in my last response, but what camber setting did you end up with after the Ohlins went on?

1st picture was with the ride height too low and no spacers.

2nd picture is current ride height with spacers.
What are you lowered on? I'm about to pull the trigger on MSS springs and am a little concerned about rubbing lol. Do you have more pictures?

HKS adjustable lowering springs. At first I set it pretty low with barely a finger gap between the tire and the fender and it rubbed big time at right before full lock without spacers. I raised it to about a 2 finger gap all around and now I'm running a +15mm spacer in the front and a +10mm spacer in the back and no rubbing.

Here's how it is now. I'm running 275/40/18 Nankang CRS.
