hey Fellas,

Was looking for a little input on the limitations, if any, with factory eccentrics when you lower the car. I installed MSS height adjustable lowering springs with Verus Camber hats. There was negative camber gain to about -2.5' in the rear and I am wondering if I will be able to bring this back down to -1' to -1.5' with factory adjustments or will I need aftermarket arms. Same goes for caster as I feel like I lost some caster at the front axle with the suspension. For FR cars I always prefer around -3' F and -1 to -1.5' R as a balanced setup that rotates easily and predictably if you feel like hooning about but can still be driven neat and tidy as well. Basically you pick your angle. I don't care about setting fastest times as that is not why I bought the Supra. I just don't want to go to my buddy's shop 1 state over and get it on his alignment rack only to find out I won't be able to hit my numbers with the factory adjustments.

Any help in advance is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Quinn

if i remember correctly, max camber is -1.9 rear with a stock configuration. i don't think you'll reach the -1.5 you desire
Do you mean minimum camber? Is that with stock height or lowered?

yeah sure, minimum

both stock and on lowering springs, i was told the same, -1.9 😬
Gotcha, that's lame. So the follow question is, do you know which of the aftermarket offerings can bring rear camber down below the factory setting?

Reached -2.0 rear no questions asked, lowered on H&R springs

That's too much negative rear camber. The question is how much negative camber can you take out with factory eccentrics, not add.

I read it lol. Didn't see anyone vouching for the Eibach, only the Verkline. Are you running them?
no sir. but if we’re talking about the same thread, razorlab was complimenting the design when compared to SPL. i think for a street car, you should be more than fine with eibach’s offering rather than verkline’s. but up to you!

i like my alignment so not interested hehe

SARD full titanium ;)
I could also vouch for Eibach if that helps. We use their anti-roll-bar kits a lot on our cars and for customers, because they have TUV, which is a BIG thing in Germany. Other parts from Eibach don't have it, so we can't use it. Most people who ordering a full track-pack still want Verkline, because it's the best you can get.

But after all, nothing wrong with Eibach at all - and like I said before: it always depends on what your plans are in the future.

OEM specs according to service manual:

Front
Camber: -1.75* +/- 0.50*
Toe: 0.12" +/- 0.09"
Caster: 7.58* +/- 0.50*

Rear
Camber: -2.00* +/- 0.42*
Toe: 0.10" +/- 0.09"

Issue is, they rarely arrive with the alignment being correct.

I use the BG Racing alignment kit with a pair of QuickTrick turn plates
That being said, I do have a few bookmarks saved from our resident track rats.
