Hello coming from a GR86 to GRC CE to Manual Supra.
Purpose of the car is 90% track 10% drive to track...maybe go to work.
Tracks I spend most of my time in are Buttonwillow raceway and Streets of Willow.
I value cheap track time including all consumables more than pure lap times.
Setups I usually like are -3 front/ rear camber. Stock height or 1.5mm drop. Stock suspension, stock wheels. Endless 650 fluid, track pads.
Here are the questions.
1) What is the camber adjustability of the stock suspension? From what I have been reading front is un adjustable, rear can get about -2? Can this car make use of camber or crash bolts? For reference I had -3.2 just using 2 crash bolts on the GRC. I'd rather not get camber plates or rear control arms as I can't justify the price of these metal pieces being sold for $500-$750.
2) What is a good square setup for the car? 18/275? 18/295? I like the 19 inch setup but shopping for tires is a pain and is expensive.
3) What are the cheapest tire brand and source in the stock or the square setup? For GR86 I used GT Radial Champiros which were a cool $120 per tire on 17/225. Again fresh cheap tire is better for me than $1500 Cup2s with 3 track days on them. I'll be absolutely destroying the fronts as I usualy come in to corners too hot and tend to understeer.
4) Brake pads and fluid is straightforward, how about brak ducts? My GRC CE had factory brake ducts but I see people are putting aftermarket ones on the Supra. Supra does not come with brake ducts?
