This week on supramkv.com : We go from loving the new supra, to hating it and yelling at engineers through the computer and back to loving it within a week. As a forum we've got mood swings worse then a pubescent 8th grader... but for real this is a huge relief knowing the car is staying lightweight.
Plus hormones going crazy during periods :D.

Jeff, the MKIV setup wasn’t a true twin turbo setup....regardless of wether or not they were the same size turbo’s, they came on boost at various times, which really isn’t a “true twin turbo.” At low rpm’s you hade one turbo on, higher rpm’s u had both. That’s why many MKIV owners do the “TTC mod” on their cars...to make both turbos come on at the same time. Now, did that make the MKIV any less of a performer....f**k no!
Yes, but I was mainly replying to this bit:

[Means] only one turbo was on boost at any given time.

I might be able to talk about the other thing more as time passes, but right now I have to keep quiet.
If the Zed4 is the 3300lb car, would this also mean it's the 60K car as well?

$63,500 sounds like too much for a Supra. It’s even more than a BMW Z4. It’s like going toe-to-toe with the likes of Chevrolet Corvette, and Porsche Cayman. I believe it should be priced starting at around $40k for the 2.0-liter variant up to around $50k-$55k for the top-tier. But if a $63,500 for a GR modified as well as TRD-ed Supra, with lots of standard tech and features, it’s still ok. But I would be ok with just the base 3.0-liter I6 variant.

They say the Toyota Supra and BMW Z4 would offer different driving characteristics. But if they will just be similarly or closely priced, I’d rather go for a Z4. I’m willing to spend for a Supra for just under $60k

You've got a lot of reading to do. Enjoy.

Well, all of these are still just rumors. Maybe let’s just sit back, relax, and wait for the official announcement from Toyota.
They are rumors by insiders who have worked on the Supra or work closely with toyota so this is more than rumors.

Like I said, get some wine/coffee, take a ride reading this thread from start to finish along with the itnerviews with Tetsuya Tada. focus on anything Guff or A70 may said as it paints a clearer image to the supra than anyone else.

Just taking it with a grain of salt. Not everything about it has been revealed nor officially announced. Toyota is known for manufacturing and selling affordable, quality, and reliable cars. Many are already disappointed with the rumored price, even die hard fans. Toyota will surprise everyone and make fans and customers happy in the end. Trust me.

Hello, This is my first post. My neighbor works for BMW and brings home different cars before production wrapped. The other day I saw what looked like the new Supra on his driveway. A couple of days later I saw him and asked him about it. He confirmed it's the Supra. He also told me that it's also the new Z4. He said both cars are almost identical. The Supra on the driveway still had BMW badges under the hood. The Z4 will only be a convertible compared to the Supra being a coupe. He said he prefers to drive the Supra. It's a small car but very stiff chassis. Because of that he wouldn't recommend it as a daily driver. But, it handles great in the canyons.
The Z4 and Supra are the same with 3 different variances of engine's. From low hp to high hp they are
Forgot the size of the engine . But, low hp is single turbo
Mid level is 3.0L Twin Turbo
High level is 3.0L Twin Turbo with Electronic Assistance (Approx 400hp)
Whether you believe me or not. I don't care. I'm not in the market to buy the Supra. I have a C7 Z06 already.

But, it does sound like a fun car to drive

I hope it will be offered with the following if these are true:
Base- 3.0-liter single twin-scroll turbo I6 at around $45-50k(low hp)
Mid- 3.0-liter twin turbo I6 at around $53-58k
Top- 3.0-liter twin turbo I6 with electronic assistance at $63,500

If this will be the case, I’m good with the base variant
