Ok so there is no ethanol or e85 fuel anywhere near me. I have the flex fuel kit and my ethanol/fuel ratio guage is my torque guage on my display.

My question is can I buy straight ethanol and add it to my fuel? You can buy 200 proof denatured ethanol in 5 gallon jugs for $200 or a 55 gallon drum of E85 for about $500. Honestly the more I think about it a Pure800 might be the best bet.

All opinions and recommendations welcome….

$9/gal for E85 is steep as hell. For reference, it's typically less than $3/gal in CA.
Agree with you that getting a 93 tune with a turbo is a better route.
Wouldn't recommend trying to add Everclear to your tank

If there’s no etoh around and you want to be 500s HP - get a hybrid turbo (pure 800, CTS, RP Omega 65, DAW, etc)

I went with CTS and no E85 is anywhere around. Already had water meth. Now I'm in process of going flex fuel PI. Find a local chemical supplier and denatured ethanol should be about $11 a gal delivered. It sucks but better than straight pump gas.

I’m definitely leaning towards the Pure 800. Right now with exhaust and a tune I’m at 440whp on 93. Just wanting a little more. On E40 or 50 the car makes 500. I’ve been kicking the idea of denatured ethanol but I’m a little apprehensive. Ok a lot!
Yes the $8 or $9 a gallon for E85 is crazy but it’s just not available here.

Time to buy a truck with a fuel tank in the bed. I know that Shreveport and baton rouge have E85.

Someone would have to do the math, but I’m reasonably certain a hybrid turbo would be the more affordable path.

Not a Corvette.

Even buying and shipping 54 gallons of Sunoco E85-R on the regular would probably be cheaper than buying a truck and external tank, insurance, and registration.

@EddieNel , you heard it. It’s probably cheaper not to buy a second vehicle and drive 200 miles round trip regularly.

I’m glad we did that analysis for you.

Seems like DAW turbos are working well on our platform if you want to stick with 93. Pure has some reliability concerns.

Lol I drive a 1 ton daily so the truck isn’t a problem. I’m 100% sure you’ve talked me into a turbo!

Not sure but didn’t Pure fix that. I’m not saying I’m going Pure but I’ve heard they have been performing great.
