Thanks for sharing your experience. I am still trying to get my hands on the MHD Unlocker tool. I will also report back if I have any better luck.
let me know how it goes with the MHD unlocker, curious to see if your car will have MHD+ features still intact.

Gotcha, I will play around with the ventilation options in the supra app. I reached out to MHD so I will hear what they will say.

No, I'm not using any valve controller - its on the factory valve controller. Normal mode is closed all the time, and when you hit the sport button, it opens the valve.

I will reach out to you in whats app
you could try using BimmerLink and set the valve to always open or reprogram it to auto within the app and see if that changes anything. Honestly the valve gets deleted if you go aftermarket exhaust anyways unless the exhaust has valve module locations.

Yeah, I was going to take a look with bimmerlink today. My aftermarket exhaust reuses the OEM valve controller - it was working fine before the remote start coding

honestly the valve is ass anyways many people reporting spring issues, clogging, and the connector melting. In normal mode the cars warm up isn’t that bad without the valve. Now starting in sport mode it’s pretty loud. That valves overrode open in sport mode anyways and always open.

But BimmerLink should allow you to actuate it manually and you can see if it’s responding.

I've had no issues with my OEM valve, spring, connector, etc. and I drive it all year round including winter time in NY. 80k miles on the car, w/ 65k miles on the aftermarket exhaust.

it’s not completely unlikely that it could have failed at the same time. It’s not completely a impossible scenario. Can also see on BimmerCode if it had a code for the valve it won’t show up as a check engine fault.

I noticed you need HS internet, Windows, and enet... so are you remoting into the customers device and performing the service?

They are remotely programming. You need TeamViewer, a laptop with good internet, and a ENet cable. Takes about 10-15 mins so a good battery charge is also recommended.

Windows / macOS (native support) + ENET cable + Internet (decent one, hotspot is fine as well).
Whole work is done remotely and takes 10-20 minutes depending on internet speed.

I just had the coding done today, really straight forward and works without any problem. I have a bunch of custom things coded in already and didn't lose any of them. Note that I am not tuned or unlocked. Definitely recommend it, feels amazing to be able to do this.

One thing I didn't take a pictureof is that the first time you get into the car after the coding you get a notification saying that your car is now equipped with remote start. Really cool to see that.

How does the appointment to code it get set up after you purchase the service?

You get an email with instructions for everything. Software to download and how to use it, really good instructions if you have never used it before. Then you just contact them via whatsapp to setup the appointment.

The process is extremely simple, just connect the enet dongle give them the details and now just wait for them to do their thing.

Can you test the feature from the Toyota app? Seeing how long it takes would be nice to know as well.
