It's wild that there are so many perfectly fine and better looking options available but ya'll are obsessing over these ugly things just because Toyota.
It's clear these pieces of plastic are designed to eliminate the maximum chance of wind buffeting at any speed...

BUT THEY'RE UGLY AF

I bet these fugly uglies increase the drag coefficient from 0.32 to 0.34 themselves alone.

"Designed" Like almost everything Toyota has done after the initial release, these are just another after thought. I'd be surprised if they even work. 😂

fwiw the two aftermarket ones that I tried (armaspeed and AMS) both only half-worked with windows open and with the windows closed it gave me a wind rushing sound that made it sound like my windows were still open a crack. Granted, I use the M-style mirror caps, so maybe the fins on those direct air in such a way that it interferes with the wind buffet deflectors on the market.

Hoping these little guys from Toyota work better, don't really feel like spending $50-$100 to try another aftermarket pair, but the ones I ordered a month ago haven't shown up so not sure if they're on backorder or if I just got screwed.

Not really a fan of the aftermarket ones looks anyways, I feel like most of them stick out like a sore thumb. These aren't pretty but they're subtle by comparison.

I called a few dealers and finally found one with it in stock and ordered it. Should get delivered today. 🤞
Most dealers should be able to search other dealer inventory so that makes finding one a bit quicker.

I was told this week by my dealer that Toyota put a stop sale on this product and that they are not approved for sale in Canada.

If you can get your hand a spare set, PM I’ll pay for it shipped. Cheers!

what’s the final verdict? Will these eliminate the buffeting better than other options?

I've had the eBay set and they both work. I don't notice either one being better or worse than the other. It is just personal preference.

I'm currently undecided as I liked them when they were placed at the back of the mirror arm. Now that they're sort of awkwardly an inch(ish) forward, I'm leaning towards putting the eBay ones back.

I like the OEM ones better than my AMS ones. The AMS ones caused some extra wind noise on the highway with my windows up which is not present with the OEM ones.
