It does kind of make sense, just odd that you don’t hear of it happening to people more often because there’s tons of people on flex fuel that I’ve never heard of having issues like this. Also, are you getting a code for your battery being very discharged (code 030E08)?Just an update- I heard back from my tuner and they said it was most likely due to cold weather.
I didn't realize that could have an effect, but he said e50 maxes out the fuel system in 70 degree weather and getting colder down to 60 and lower can experience cuts unless the tune is turned down. Following his advise I'm going to try running e45 when it's 70 degrees or below or e40 when colder. Makes more sense why I didn't have this happen until now in the winter (Florida winter lol)
I’ve had that code pop up for a while and decided to address it to see if it could have anything to do with my problems. Took the car for a drive today after charging the battery and so far I haven’t had the issue happen again. Not 100% sure it’s solved, but a weak battery in a BMW does make sense it would cause such issues.
