Pure 800 Overboost issues

Gen2 DS25 HPFP + S58 Injector
pure 800 Turbo
Stage 2.5 - Supra B58 Upgraded Hybrid Fuel Pump LPFP
Larger intake manifold
charge pipe
AWE touring full exhaust
Catless downpipe
Heavy duty race clutch
BM3 flex fuel sensor

I am currently getting my car tuned and and having an over boost issue, I have looked through so many posts but just some help if you would be so Kind . This is the log of a 4th gear pull on pump gas and the boost just climbs? Thanks for the input.

I had the same issue.\nTook me a few weeks, but we figured it out on the pure 800 Turbo. Where the exhaust flap is that exhaust hole has to be trembled out bigger. It exhausts flaps whole is stock size. The Turbo's making too much power and not releasing enough exhaust gasses. That is why boosting several people have had this issue as well as me. After I had a the wastegate hole dribbled out my overboost problem went away. The same to be a common problem with the pure 800 turbos

did you reset/relearn your ewg position?

Yes did the whole reset through bootmod3. Same issue. I think it might have to remove turbo and drill the hole out but before I did that I needed some peoples experiences with this as I knew there would be a few around.

Running low timing will make it also difficult to control turbo speed, try adding 4 degrees of timing on pump gas or 10 degrees on ethanol.

then adjust your compressor and wgdc tables again.

Another thing you can do is raise your boost target to 25psi.

those few things might be enough to fix the issue.

also i read somewhere that some people had issue with the actuator arm getting stuck because of the downpipe orientation so check that too before removing the turbo to port it.

I'll discuss with my tuner and see where we end up, I'll post. The results when finished either way I go

yeah car should have no problem handling a few more degrees timing, usually pump gas peaks around 10-12 degrees near redline for a p800

I'd personally run it a little richer too, closer to 12 afr
