Could you give a look over my lap and nitpick any improvement areas? I'm hunting the TT3 lap record. I'm about 1s off right now and I know I have .3-.5s to gain in T1 if I release the brake a little faster to make the speed bleed off at a slower rate before I reach vmin. I'm thinking similar concept on T4, T5, and T6.

Replied via DM with a super length response. Didn't want to clutter up this chat unless others wanted to see that feedback too

A view from @Traxion
Looked so much smoother from the car behind. Great save!!

Hey that's my friend Alex's car! I was paddocked next to him in the garages and hung out with him all weekend. What a freaking great drive by him. I just wish I could solve my mysterious misfire so I could reset the TT4 record. I promised the wife I wouldn't turn the Supra into a track slut for at least 2 or 3 years. That's what the s2000 is supposed to be for.

Speaking of, if anyone knows some seriously talented wiring/electrical gurus let me know. Been fighting this issue for almost a year with no luck.

Our group from Sebring ?

You’re in good company, that‘s for sure! Alex’s Sebring time (and driving) is insane…. As far as the Supra, I told my wife the same thing. This time it’ll be different ?. The Supra will be our go to the track occasionally car, 2 years later, a seat is finally going in. This should be the last thing I do ?

I’ve got a friend also looking for a wiring guru to find the gremlins that keep popping up in a race MX5 he bought that sat around unluv’ed way too long. If he finds that person, will let you know ?

Even harder to stay on track.

Some real skills keeping her in a straight line!
I will 2nd Bryan's "Quality camber plates do not add a bunch of NVH" statement. I have the Verus camber plates that are designed to work with stock springs, and they're plenty well-mannered on the street. I have well over 15k miles on mine.
I ended up ordering the Versus camber plates and we will see how they fare. Thanks to all for your great perspectives!

I figure your autocorrect jumped in there...but in case it didn't, it's Verus, not Versus. IIRC, there IS a Versus that makes Supra parts as well.

Well after another weekend at the track, I think I have finally decided to run with no traction control from now on. Normally run with just one click off and have no issues. I dont know why it kicked in on me so bad this time but it was bad enough, I almost lost it. Would have been a no issue turn with it all the way off.

I also found the limit for hot mushy tires.... ?

I typically run without it. I find that it is better without - particularly throttle steering just feels much better.

How so? It was hitting the brakes on its own. I had my foot on throttle the entire time.
Apologies. Watched on small screen w no sound. So then…. Should have handled that sweeper w one click off. Something is off- tires, sensor. That acted like everything was full on

hi all. what spring rates are you running? i am trying to calculate how much i need to increase my spring rates when i add aero at the end of the month. the problem i am running into is that it seems to be a higher rate than what is easily available. i am on a divorced rear set up, which affects rate and spring choice.

What spring rates we run is dependent on our own aero selection. Let us know what aero you intend to run and people can pitch in on suggestions. If you're changing spring rates then I'd also be assuming you're on new suspension so let us know what you're planning on there too.

i am more curious what the general consensus is. the front splitter i will be putting on will be more substantial than a flat piece of wood or a verus similar flat blade, so i am trying to figure out what rates will keep the splitter from grinding off. for example my E92 M3 needs a minimum of 750# to do the task, but the front is heavier than the supra. in general from my experience good aero vs no aero needs a 200# increase in rate. i am currently at 550F/1000R. the car is a tad pushy which is fine with me as it is confidence inspiring, so i would like to increase evenly. again i am looking to see what others are running, not for the collective to pick for me

edit, i do agree that different levels of aero will affect set up. my aero will be pretty aggressive.

it’s all good. I don’t think it liked that the car slid just a bit on turn in, mostly cause it was around 100 mph. That turn specifically, I came in around 135, slam the brakes on down to 100 and then yank the wheel and floored again.

But yes, the car 100% took over and thought it knew what it was doing but was actually doing the opposite of what needed to be done. First time something like that has happened.
