@Rensuhlo do you know what the costs would be for HoD specifically HPDE1/novice group? I can't seem to find cost anywhere for HoD NE. I looked on their website and Facebook page.

It's going to be track dependent. But the link to motorsportsreg.com from the HOD website for each event will show the price once you click on the "Register now" button.

As @razorlab said, costs will be track dependant.

Here is HoD NE list of events in MSR.Attempting to register will provide you with 1/2 day costs where applicable. Do understand that prices will *increase* after the early registration deadline has passed.

I am only affiliated with HoD Mid-Atlantic, so am I not the 100% source of truth.

I'm interested in hitting up Road Atlanta this year, would be first time, and was deciding between HoD and Chin, thoughts?

Anyone have experience with both Vitour P1s and Nankangs CRS - thoughts on both?

I'll be at RA in December with NASA, I've got space in my hotel split if you wanted. HoD has less cars per run group but the cost is higher. I am certified to instruct with them now too but no current plans to go to their August event as I think it'll be too hot. I haven't run with Chin before but I've heard good things overall. Only thing of note is they might be a little stingier on bumping people up in run groups and making you prove ability if you haven't run with them before which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Thats cool thanks for the invite. Trying to figure out Fall track plans and hit RA and VIR at least once each. The HoD event at RA interested me in particular as its my Birthday weekend.

When I did an event with SCDA I knew the costs before I registered on motorsportsreg.com. It just seems odd that I would have to go through the registration process just to see the costs with HoD.

SCDA was nice but pretty expensive for a single day and I have been looking for an alternative. NASA always fills up for HPDE1 before I can register and they usually run on weekends that don't work for me.

I think HoD could give more information like NASA or SCDA which would help. I will take a look at chin.

in the NE, BMW/Audi NEQ offers the best bang for buck for novices. once you move up in track awareness/fundamentals, moving to masstuning/scda can be better if more track to yourself becomes your priority. instructor qualities are not even between groups either.

I haven't done a DE with Chin, so I don't have any firsthand experience. So I'd trust @Traxion word.

In regards to the RdATL event, I can offer you a $50 discount if that's the deciding factor between the two groups.

Also have ViR on the schedule in November. Fall colors will be vibrant and temps will be cool.

You don’t actually register, you just click the button which brings you to the registration page which has the pricing listed.
