Why are there so many crashed Supras?
Is it that people can’t handle the power? They’re going too fast? Being reckless? It can’t be that hard to drive.

A telephone pole is only one click away. I would suspect many are from people turning off traction control and VSC.
The torque can quickly over-power the tires with the nannies off.

They are not hard to drive. It's idiot kids racing on the street and turning off VSC.

This is why I tell anyone who gets a new car and wants to drive it hard, take your car to an auto-x event first! Very safe way to find the limits of your car and its 100% legal. If everyone did it, this thread would be half the size.

I've seen major f ups in autoX. Too many ambitious people. One then new C7 vette found itself on the sidewalk with busted rear end and tire/wheel among others..
Key is gradually taking on more risk/speed/shenanigans... If you don't have that embedded then anywhere any car any speed will get you in trouble..

Well I mean you just cant take stupid out of some people.... like most Mustang drivers but you do have to admit its a lot safer than being stupid on public roads.
I think it was last year, we had a C6 find the curb. This is in the infield lot which is tiny and whoever was putting on the event made the ending horrible.

All I can think of when looking at this thread is how much more insurance on an MKV is going to be eventually if this keeps up. I guess on the upside... at this rate they really might become collectables (at least the non wrecked ones). ?
