I have hundreds of laps at this facility on 2-wheels..... ZERO on 4-wheels. I know the track very well.
Completely stock, MT Strat Blue.
Temps will be high 80's and humid.

1. Anyone be there?
2. any expectations or quick 1-liners before I go?
Dude….. Have fun ? You already know how to drive a racing line and maintain momentum. Won’t be any different in the Supra.

Shout out if/when you ever make it down to Sebring ??

Update: About half way through the season, I'm scheduled for 4 more events:
  • Thompson on 7/22
  • Car Control Clinic on 8/12
  • Lime Rock Afternoon session 8/12
  • ETA: Added Thompson on 8/20
  • Lime Rock on 9/11
I want to sign up for more, but then I think about how much I've spent on track time and insurance so far. ?

I'm thinking about one more day at Thompson and maybe Palmer CCW in September. I think I'll be able to finish the season on my current set of tires, even if I do both events.

I really want to pick up a Catalyst, but I'd have to sacrifice seat time and I'm not sure if that's something I want to do right now.

Looking ahead to next season, I'll be refining my skills in Intermediate at Lime Rock, Thompson, and Palmer. May look into doing a day at Club Motorsports/NJMP/The Glenn.

For winter mods I want to move to coilovers and mods to support them. I'm still on the fence between Ohlins R&T or MCS, but after the ride along with @razorlab I'm really smitten with the MCS. I'll add rear traction bars, and front tie rod ends if necessary to correct bump steer at a 15mm drop. I'm also going to a GESI dp, intake resonator delete/heat shielding/gold tape the shit out of the intake. I'm seriously considering an upgraded intake manifold. My last couple track days have been real eye opening about losing power due to IATs. Might have a different tuner retune the car after that so it's a little less peaky and more of a road racing tune than a car bowling "numbers" tune.

Great update! Glad you’re banging out the seat time. Best mod ever :)

I know I’ll be doing the intake manifold someday. PHD racing has one on his website and so does 1FastSupra. If it’s the same as Bryan’s, I buy from one of them. You definitely feel the drain as the day goes on and the car gets hotter. To Zack’s credit, he told me this ages ago (that’s about one year in Supra forum time).

Hey Peter!

I found them by searching for 295-35R18 200tw tires, but it looks like they're not fully listed on their website yet. It does show them in-stock and available for delivery tomorrow though.

Weird...

likely another Type R, aiming for GT4 laptimes. building a gt3 rs killer on stock power was too easy, want a project that will take a bit more aero design and optimization. according to catalyst the existing build is the fastest this year.

ah thanks, different in desktop vs mobile client, very cool find. hope it shows up on discount tire as well for the 5% .mil discount

That tire has not been updated in our system yet, but when they become available we will have the ability to order them. Keep in mind, we do price match, and the military rebate will be applicable!
