That’s funny! So many times I have seen you and others say only ecutek can run it well because of the CAN integration, usually when you and others are defending Ecutek as the superior solution.

I guess if it fits the current narrative…
It's true. I wouldn't do it, but it's possible- just like I wouldn't fuck around with beefing up the DI.

Same??? There is enough fuel to support this?? I’m not completely convinced on PI but I would imagine bigger turbo you will need bigger fueling. @Jesse DaBears @zrk

100% you need more fueling. 600whp is not possible on 93 octane only without additional fueling. It maxes our around 530-550whp without port injection and bigger turbo.

Can you go into a little more depth with this statement? Asking for a friend. Ok I lied. Asking for me!!!
Reflex can run as a standalone port injection controller. It still wires up the same, inputs cam, crank, and boost pressure and triggers PI based on internal maps, the problem when running reflex as a standalone PI controller, it doesn't _output_ over CANBus, so the rest of your tune doesn't know what's going on.

That’s very interesting. It’s a good base but still need PI to fuel the system and be able to handle the needed fuel.

I just dont really see how this is a bum deal?
If you say reflex can be run as a standalone why wouldnt you feel comfortable doing that?
is it because its not as reliable?
Looking at reliable power for buck I see huge value in this product for the typical consumer that wants a reasonable power bump. This port injection just seems like too much of a hassle imo let alone finding a shop who can reliably install it; that wouldnt charge an arm and leg.

IMO the real benefit for now is that it's honestly the only option if you want to 600+.

There's the whole Motiv/BM3 beef, meaning unless someone codes a Reflex firmware for BM3, we're forced to wait until the Rev2 board comes out. And that's assuming it's better than the Reflex.

MHD has been saying MHD+ for the B58TU is coming out in two weeks, but that still hasn't happened.

Even if you wanted to do EcuTek + Reflex, finding a 06/2020 ECU is a pain, even if paying a premium. Then, you have to get a clone, AND then Visconti's proprietary Reflex.

Sure you could run the PI injectors without Canbus, but then (AFAIK) you lose flex fuel. Also the added risk or the PI system not knowing what's going on.

Meanwhile now you could just throw on an HPFP to hit fuel limits. It's a bandaid solution, but seems hell of a lot cheaper than an EcuTek PI setup.

BM3 (not sure how long its been there):

It's been there for a while. Wonder if it actually makes a difference with OTS maps. Btw it's only there if you open up BM3 on a laptop, pc, or website. It's not there if you open it up on your phone.

This is true, only viewable along with radiator flaps in web browser.
Noticed today copying over my older 2.4 tune to the newly 2.8 OTS released.

Yeah I noticed. Any idea what radiator flap means? Asked a bunch of dudes no one really knew. it says OPEN and the other option is ORIGINAL/OEM.

Its for the active grill shutters found on newer BMWs.
The Z4 has them.
The Supra doesn't have them at all.
Might get 2 DTCs CD9203(left)/CD9204(right) if you use the option.
