Cool shots man, what was the highest IAT and what was average? From the canchecked screen, do you go to the yas track, I tend to enjoy it more than autodrome

I do more autodrome than yas, but I'll be at yas soon when one of the 2 time attack leagues have a race there soon.

My IATs were in control that day. Highest number I saw was around 67

Edit: 57 not 67

That is HOT.

And yes that's still hot. But that's as good as it's going to get for me in 35c/95f+ weather.

Id still consider that good in our weather, your using methanol to cool too right?

All things considered, yes it is. But at that point there's a considerable amount of heat soak with at least 3 degrees timing reduction probably more.

ah ok, 134f not so bad for that ambient and pushing the car. However, I thought you where spraying meth now?

tbh those were probably the lowest IATs of any Supra on track that day, unless they were also running meth (i don't think the others were). It's just that hot around here....and it didn't help that track days/races during this weather are usually in the evening, but we started a 1pm that day. Will be the same this coming weekend. We're on the precipice of good weather though. November - March will be nice.

(i also have tiny nozzles btw)

Yea those IAT's aren't bad at all for that ambient. What does the trend look like over the laps you do? I believe you stated you usually do the TA style lapping.

My laps were actually configured around a 55 IAT target. I pulled back and cooled down everytime I crossed that mark. So the temps weren't organic.

I'll do some logging this coming weekend like I promised earlier. Provided I'm able to sort out both the meth leak and the boost leak in time

So i took the car to my tuner to get some dyno logs done (plus an additional map i requested) and to make sure it wasn't a tuning issue that wasn't (at least partially) causing the issues i was facing. Keep in mind i didn't have time to drive the car at all post turbo/tune. Pretty much straight to the track. Not ideal obv, but it didn't really have a choice.

Anyway, yeah it's not a tune issue. So they proactively checked around (he's my tuner, but he has a shop too), and it seems my wastgate was jammed and wasn't even fully seating. How is that even possible on a brand new turbo? wtf pure...
