So far its been pretty good. The JB+ provided a nice power bump and with the aftermarket DP an even nicer bump. And of course, MHD Stage 2 OTS (98RON) produces yet another nice bump. Is it worth the price of sending your DME to Finland? On 98 it's probably not a massive increase to what the JB+ was producing, relatively speaking. Noticeable, sure but $1500AUD noticeable.. ehhh, not sure.Looking forward to hearing your experience comparing the two. I understand the appeal of the JB but will likely go with Femto later on
Nice. Best color on the GR Supra ?. Congratulations.I thought I should update on here. I know Phil misses me whinging about Toyota's rubbish delays but I picked my car up a few weeks ago. It's quite nice.
Flew down to Brisbane to pick it up from Radikal Wraps and drove it back. Stopped on the way back to get a photo next to dad's Hellcat Redeye
Just put the Roadtop android auto box in. Makes it much nicer

agreed! i picked up a 23 manual from Toyota in Horsnby sydney last September. Had 3000km on it so i was pretty stoked to get a GTS for 15k less!Nice. Best color on the GR Supra ?. Congratulations.
I was a little nervous but. ….as you run the risk of a poor run in though. I figured as mine was previously owned by the dealer principle, he wasn’t going to on sell an oil burner. Made good power on dyno. Makes better power now! I’ve now spent the same money as brand new and I have close to 500hp! ( made 293 wheel kws on 98 pump fuel)Such a good idea to buy used I reckon. Then spend the money on modslove how different the blue looks from different angles and lighting
A dealer principle selling an oil burner, perish the thought. If it was an oil burner he'd keep it forever until he died before he'd flog it off to some poor suspecting sap. They are after all men of immaculate principles and of the highest integrity you can trust with your life are dealer principles.I was a little nervous but. ….as you run the risk of a poor run in though. lol also true on the other side of the coin. I had it compression tested week 1 regardless. made good power on the dyno stock too before it was custom tuned so I can sleep at night.A dealer principle selling an oil burner, perish the thought. Communication isn't Toyota Australia's strong suite. They're basically waiting for Magna Steyr to update its records - I heard this happens by the last week of each month so that's when I would call into my dealer. Also, just be aware that until you are provided with a VIN, your car is completely imaginary.Little confused as to what to expect, ordered back in November 24, not even an allocation or estimated build confirmation date. The dealer apparently has heard nothing - should I be worried? Ideally, I’d like the car by the end of the year.
Post 2021 would be best to avoid the oil pump concerns and the auto as a DD.Hey everyone!
Good to be on this forum, with a lot of knowledgeable people and supra enthusiasts. The advice you guys share is much appreciated and really helps for people like myself who are quite new to the scene.
I am really keen on buying an auto supra (located in Aus).
There’s only 19 auto supras on carsales in the whole country from 2020 up.
A 2020 supra GT came up which is a pretty good deal compared to the rest of the market - stock, Toyota certified preowned, only 24000km and listed up for about 70.4K.
Ideally I was hoping to own the car to daily and sell in like 5 years, not track or go too crazy on mods (mostly cosmetic).
Ideally I was looking at buying around 2022 year for pricing reasons. There’s a 2023 GTS with 17000km for about 84k to give some idea of the market.
What would everyone recommend? Should I get the 2020, use the saved money for upgrades? Or should I just be patient, see what else comes out, get a newer one for more but at least it’ll be newer when I sell it / potentially more reliable since it’s a newer car?
stuck in two minds, any help would be much appreciated!
I’m buying the car outright, so reliability and resale value are big to me - don’t want it to be a money pit essentially
Early cars can be tuned without sending your ECU to Femto but as Phil pointed out, there are reports of oil pump/consumption issues with some pre-2022 cars. And while I'm not keen on opening yet another auto/manual debate, anything pre-2023 is dead to me. ?Hey everyone!
