a place holder...lol...so they would put the effort to cover the supposed Supra replacement and the best they could do was to put 86 wheels? What happened to the FT1 wheels?
to me it actually looks like a cut out. idk, when i zoom in they look fake or has edited somehow.

I'm not claiming to know anything. I'm just sharing something I thought was interesting. I'll leave it up to you all to interpret what it is.

im just saying the wheels look odd to me. to be fair Toyotas do have generic looking wheels. even the LC wheels look like they came off of the facelift Corolla.

comparison done by Kiske from ft86club. wheelbase is different and it appears the car under the cover is slightly larger than the 86.

This is exciting. I'm guessing Detroit 2017. Lexus revealed the LC500 this year to come out 2017 as a 2018 model. I can see the same with this it being a 2019 model out in 2018. Looks more in line with the FT-1 than the mule.

Yep, definitely not an 86. Besides, why would there by a top secret 86 at CALTY.

Glad to hear the reveal is coming next year (finally)!!

It could also be another concept. A FT-1 II or even better, an official Supra concept. Something closer to the actual size and more production ready.

right, also the 86 was design by Toyota's ED2 design studio. not to mention it just got a facelift, so i dont think anything will be happening to it anytime soon. also i dont think anyone even brought up the 86 in that video.

Same video, but this one was posted on Toyota's USA youtube. This one doesn't have the annoying subtitles. It shows published date as August 11, 2016.

proportions seem to check out. the old Supra had a higher hood line and a more forward windshield as well. it was just a slightly larger car when compared to the 86.

86: (101.2 in) wheelbase & (166.9 in) length
Supra: (100.4 in) wheelbase & (177.8 in) length

So I was bored and wanted to do some over lap comparisons. The 2007 FT-HS is a pretty decent good match IMO.

So I was bored and wanted to do some over lap comparisons. The FT-1, mystery prototype, and FRS do not match. However something kinda odd does fit the car in question. The 2007 FT-HS is a pretty decent good match IMO.

Love the roofline on the FT-HS which they carried over somewhat to the FT-1. Wish the production Supra also had that aggressively sloping look.
