I am currently running without tyre pressure sensors in my track wheels but getting a bit sick of the warnings and wouldn't mind having the info available.
I did this because I was told they would put the car in limp mode if the pressure is too low.
Does anyone know what is the minimum pressure they will accept before this happens?
I usually start around 27psi cold.

+1, on circuit it's annoying as hell, and then I inflate then to 35psi cold and still have warnings. Nonsense

My current warnings are because I have none installed.
Was weighing up between getting it coded out completely or installing them.
I was wondering what the minimum pressure is that you can run before it throws an error? eg below 28psi

I forget, but the warning and issues are somewhere right around where you want to start cold on the track. I removed mine, i have several warnings pop up on the screen each start.... just part of the joy trying to ruin a great GT car into a track toy

Why not make a pvc pipe pressurized and throw the sensors in there? I believe it’s been done here to trick the car into thinking it’s in the wheels.

OP, I might just code it out. I can't remember what my cold PSI is (maybe 35-37?) and I get the warning every time. It is super annoying.

Cold psi should be 25. I run my street tires are 28-29 cold, which no issue.

Curious on your tire/wheel setup. Do you have a thread for this that's updated?

Not a Corvette.
I start track days with 25/24psi cold. You have to reset/relearn the TPMS at the lower pressure if you don't want warnings.

To clear a couple things up, if you do have TPMS and do get a low-pressure warning:

  • It will not put you in "limp" mode
  • If you turn traction control off, it will force full traction control back on after a certain MPH. I believe it's around 10-15mph. *HOWEVER*, if you then turn traction control off again, it will stay off until you turn the car off/on again.
  • Anyone getting TPMS warnings with TPMS still installed and over 25psi, you need to have the car relearn the lower pressures.

Thanks. you’re probably right. I am not in my car and can’t remember cold pressures. Whatever it is, it is not unduly low and I still get PSI warnings.

I have two wheel and tire setups, a track setup and a street setup. The street setup is Work Emotion CR Kiwamis with R888Rs on them (currently). The R888Rs are 265/35/19 & 285/35/19, and the wheels are 19x9.5 +25 (Front) and 19x10.5 +32 (Rear).

Drag pack is standard. Welds in the front with M&H skinnies and rears are Titan 7 w/ MT 305/45/17s.

Thanks mate, this is super helpful.

You need to reset/relearn your TPSM in system settings
I've been fighting this all weekend! :banghead: I haven't seen the option in the menu...but I'll look again. Do you happen to remember where, in the menu, it is?
