I run the same pads you run, and actually Homestead is also my home track. Are you on OEM rotors and how many have you gone through? Would you recommend upgrading the rotor?Lovely. Is kind of what I did. I’m already on Stage 8! Of my build.
Just have not documented the whole thing but planning to.
I added the cooling earlier because Im
In swampy FL and needed it to run the entire summer

how do you know you are going through the rotors? I use a brake rotor caliper and measure width in three different areas. (Also check for micro cracks, lip and overall feel on the braking)I run the same pads you run, and actually Homestead is also my home track. Are you on OEM rotors and how many have you gone through? I seem to go through the OEM rotors quickly with the DTC60's. Im wondering if I should upgrade to a better Rotor
was just with Chin at VIR. Yes, good group. Not as fast as some groups But nice and safety focused.Lots of good info. Thank you!
I instruct/coach with most clubs. My favorite track group presently is Chin. But many groups host excellent HPDE events all over.
Cheers,
Mike
How many 30 min sessions do you get to do in a day?was just with Chin at VIR. Yes, good group. Not as fast as some groups But nice and safety focused.
2 40How many 30 min sessions do you get to do in a day?
Thanks. Thats more than NASA or FARA do here in Miami.2 40
2 30 min
1 hour happy hour run group at the end of the day.
That seems a bit short. What are the event prices? Thanks. Thats more than NASA or FARA do here in Miami.
Here we have
3 20 min session per day with or without a happy hour that is usually 30 min

NASA isn't cost effective for seat time. It's great for coaching though IME.Thanks. Thats more than NASA or FARA do here in Miami.

I concur with you. Buy the best pad & fluid and rust prone rotors from Rockauto.comhow do you know you are going through the rotors? I use a brake rotor caliper and measure width in three different areas. (Also check for micro cracks, lip and overall feel on the braking)
Also you are driving above my skill. I’m just going from street tires to TW200 for the first time next month. I have gone through 1 set of front rotors (currently on the second one) with still a lot of life in it in total of 8 track weekends with about 450 laps.
there is a guy that drives this same track and holds the fastest time here in a Supra.
Let’s ask him: @FLtrackdays. And I can tell you he uses the OEM rotors. If the OEM rotors are good for him, for sure they are ok for us, mere mortals
