Not really, Im on the freeway for less than my drive and even then im always switching lanes and never cruising. I do tend to gas it pretty hard and I downshit at every light instead of braking.Isn't it annoying driving at 4k rpm on the freeway?
I’m glad you don’t live anywhere near me.Not really, Im on the freeway for less than my drive and even then im always switching lanes and never cruising. I do tend to gas it pretty hard and I downshit at every light instead of braking.
If youre getting 27mpg in your 3.0 Im going to assume you dont drive it hard at all or youre just feathering the pedal on the freeway. I do drive my cars pretty hard and I always change oil every month or two.Mate, your car must have been a lemon, assuming you bought brand new, what kind of break in did you do? I'm getting average 26 - 27 MPG (US) (8.5 - 8.9 l/100km on 95 premium in Australia) fuel economy, that's combination freeway/street driving with occasional hard acceleration for fun, I don't drive the tits off the car every gear change. The computer is saying my average since I bought the car brand new is 26.7 MPG or 8.8 l/100km (that's including break in). No way you are getting 16 l/100km without doing something stupid.
I have averaged 26+mpg over the last 15k miles I've put on the car and I have not been conservative with itIf youre getting 27mpg in your 3.0 Im going to assume you dont drive it hard at all or youre just feathering the pedal on the freeway. Unfortunately, insurance companies agree with you. I have a squeeky clean driving record (no accidents/tickets in last 3 years) but somehow my supra insurance went up from 200 to 550/month in less than a year. People have told me its because of the vehicle info tracking bmw sends out to insurance.I’m glad you don’t live anywhere near me.
You sound like a menace on the roads.
That’s insane.Unfortunately, insurance companies agree with you. This is why you need to opt out of lexisnexis data selling and not use the Toyota app or insurance apps on your phone. At least turn off location tracking and cellular on the app in your phone settings. There are threads about this. They will absolutely use the data against you.Unfortunately, insurance companies agree with you. Dude, thank you so much! The apps make so much sense, turning off my location services. This is why you need to opt out of lexisnexis data selling and not use the Toyota app or insurance apps on your phone. How? The GTR is like 3900 pounds, and the auto 3.0's are 3400. Manuals are roughly 100 pounds lighter than that. With the A91 its allegedly 200 lbs lighter than the GTR and I dont feel it one bit. The 2.0 and 3.0 is roughly 220 lbs lighter and I can feel every fucking pound its lighter.
I get 14-15 mpg in my 3.0 manual ? Only driven hard and running on E25If you are getting 13mpg out of a 3.0 manual, then you must be reckless driving everywhere for no reason... Having owned both Ill still take a 3.0 supra everyday over the R35.
