The CSG pads are AWFUL about this. The most aggressive brake dust I've ever seen. I made the mistake of not cleaning my track wheels after my last event last Autumn and they're caked in a dirt/brake dust/iron amalgam that required HARD scrubbing to remove.

They still kick a$$ at the track though.

black wheels, black car = problem solved! ;)

I picked up the BMW OEM rear rotors. The part number for the 3.0 Premium rear rotors has been updated to 34208853554.

Retail is $253 per rotor but I saw it online through a Houston BMW dealer for approx $170 per rotor.

I wound up buying a pair locally bc I wanted to get it done sooner.

Does FCP euro have the hawk dtc60/30 for our car? What I see right now doesn't have the part number that matches but maybe an alternative part number works?
FCP and Turner are good if you call them during business hours and ask. Alternatively, Speed Industry, Tirerack and Meraki (Josh matches prices & great to deal with) on this forum, usually have them. I always have extra 30s lying around. They last forever! It’s the fronts you‘ll want more than one spare.

I just bought a set of Brembo rotors and I understand the fronts are directional. However, I noticed the driver’s side directional vanes on the rotor points to the rear, and the passenger side points foward. Is this how it’s supposed to be? I was under the assumption that the vanes on either side should face the rear?

Both should point towards the back, sounds like you got two of the same side.

The part numbers should be slightly different between left and right

I have triple-checked the part number 09.D095.13 and even the engraving on the rotor matches. I did notice the packaging for the passenger is different than the other 3.

Their website even shows a diagram showing the direction pointing forward. Just wondering if this is intentional or could have gotten a defective one? ?

Per the google sheet you aren't supposed to buy the same part # for the fronts. You need 09D09413 for the left (driver side). That picture shows 09D09513 is for the right side (passenger) and shows the vents facing backwards in relation to rotation as shown by Razorlab. Sounds like you didn't buy the right part.

Yes I know. I did buy both part numbers. I’ll take some pics of the rotors themselves when I get back

if the part numbers are correct, it sounds like maybe they put the wrong rotor in the box. Def post some photos

Here are the photos of the actual model numbers stamped on the rotor. and a side by side comparison of the directional vanes. Also note the different packaging just for the one rotor

SOLVED: I decided to order one off Amazon to compare, and sure enough the Amazon one had the vanes pointing in the right direction.

I’m wondering now if the original one was a knock off that somebody returned or if it’s a manufacturing defect. The original’s stamping is not as dark as the new one, the hat is not as glossy as the new one, and it looks like it’s been mounted on before judging by the ring mark in the center.
