Put my refundable 2000 dollar deposit down on 1/15/19 for a Red Launch model with the understanding I get first chance to buy the car at full MSRP and dealer fees (150) and tax. If for any reason after seeing the car in person I don't want it the deposit is returned. I have been a long time customer with this dealer and have brought many (too many, some would say) cars over the years. They are telling me at this point they will receive ONE only Launch edition, and they were not positive that I could pick the color but think I will be able to. That being said, I am hoping for Red with the driver assist package. Have not been this excited in years about a new car and really looking forward to seeing this car in person.

Milton Martin is where I bought my FRS from, and they treated me extremely well. The whole process took less than two hours and my friends who have worked there also enjoy it. I'm ordering once a manual releases in 2021, so I'm mainly just seeing who is the most professional during the release and asking about deposits, orders, etc. Milton Martin told me they weren't accepting deposits because nothing is final yet, which I understand. Beaver Toyota asked me to come in and discuss with their "sales manager" and try to work a deal, which I don't get. I'll be ordering my Limited Yellow 6Spd from Milton Martin as of now.

Had a salesman tell me today they aren't expecting the Supra (at all) until 2020, so they're not taking deposit or making a list. Had a salesman from another branch of the same dealer say they are taking orders. lol.

I am in a basically identical situation as you. Do you care if you get the exact color you want?

Well yes and no, I really want Red but would take White if I had to. I have no interest in Black, but I guess we will see as summer gets closer. The dealer did tell me their Toyota Rep. Would be in within the next few weeks and they hope to have more information then. I really want this car but I know it is really a want and not a need so we will see what happens. Did you also leave a deposit and if so what was your dealer asking for? I am located in upstate NY, just curious where you are located?

Stevinson Toyota here in Colorado. West is taking deposits but no guarantee on pricing, which is silly. East doesn't seem to think the car will materialize this year.

No deposit. I offered one but they declined, we know the owner of the dealer which is located in Southern California.

I'd be careful of that info. Sounds like that was pulled out of thin air TBH.

Went to Vander Griff Toyota in Arlington today, they tried to tell me 15-20k over MSRP......GTFOH!!! So anyone in the DFW area can cross them off the list.

I'm not sure why... but I think @SPMS was talking about Arlington, TX (I hear the stars at night are big and bright there).
