It's not a problem per se, IMO. It's Econ 101 - supply v demand, free market, blahblah.... I'm of the opinion that by now if someone hasn't figured out "MSRP" on luxury items is not real/tangible and nothing more than a suggestion, by definition alone, then it's just willful ignorance. I do concede that there is an element of greed and/or desperation by dealers and it's not a good look, but it is what it is....


And FWIW, I happily paid a markup on my C8 in lieu of waiting 12-16 months.

Savannah Toyota (GA)

Chose to work with them (even though they're 6 hours way) as they allowed me to put a deposit in months ago. The sales rep (Matt Cesaretti) was great to work with.

The dealerships in Atlanta all said "sorry - we have no info on these yet". Even the dealership I bought my 2020 from was useless. How hard is it to take my money and put me on a list?
