What did you do to your Supra today?

Remember that sway bars are tuning devices. Set the rest of your suspension up first, then use bars for tuning.

It makes sense that the car "feels better" when adding bars with OEM struts/springs. It should be the other way around though.

I had added the MSS springs about 6 months ago, which are a little bit stiffer than OEM and that felt good. The sway makes it feel better on the fast turns on the track , but it might be placebo.

(A good shop 4 corner balanced the car and that might have been what made all the difference???)

I do have a set of Verkline links for the front and the rear in a box and I don’t know if I would benefit from them (specially on the rear where I have the MSS springs and the OEM sway bar)

after 60,000 miles on stock tune, I recently tuned MY2020 on mhd+ stage 2 and xhp stage 2.
Also, I upgraded the stock toyota emblems.

Yes please. The jackasses that drive by my house every day (FiST, FoST, or GTI usually) with absurd crackle tunes and a complete inability to hold a throttle steady, have cemented the notion of me no longer liking ANY cracks or burbles that aren't caused organically. Can't wait to disable it on the new one when it arrives.

I'm not just getting old and cranky, the kids have straight up ruined it for everyone.

I was stuck behind a guy in traffic doing this for legitimately 35 minutes straight. On the throttle for 3 seconds, off for 3 seconds, over and over again just to listen to his pops. I was bewildered as to how they didn't get tired of it after the first minute or two.

~ Well done! I installed the front eibach bar but the rear looks like a lot of work dropping the subframe / rear end.

Some do and some don't recommend adding the rear bar on this particular car. Is it because of the added work or it's not necessary?!? I'm honestly not certain.

I ran half a the track season with front only. The rear really made the car feel more planted, but I don’t think the z4 is as stiff as the Supra. My car used to creak a lot approaching curbs at an angle when it was front only.

It was about 3.5 hrs in the driveway. Lowered the subframe just enough by using a scissor jack, and used a few guides along the way. I liked the way the car drove with just the front, but I feel like the labor is the biggest deterrent for most.

What did I do to the supra today? Well, I spent an hour cleaning tiny pieces of pink embodiments of hell out of every crevice in my car.
Good news is I got to try out my new shark vacuum that @Jesse DaBears was a little *too* interested in.

It's 2025 and people ship with the minimal amount of packaging peanuts and reuse old boxes despite them being a business. ?

I did change the front one, and it was not difficult at all. I think with just the front one my ride quality has improved.

I took it to a shop that prep/tune/build a lot of BMW track cars as well as do complete restorations. No way I was trying this myself. The guys there said that a lot of people just lower the rear subframe a little to wiggle the bar though, but for the sake of removing just a few more bolts they can lower it completely and get proper access.

I wanted to do both because I was really happy with the relationship between the front and rear of the car in it's stock form, I just wanted it tighter all round. I figured the only way to achieve that would be to do both. Also, if by adding bars I were to introduce an imbalance that I didn't like, then by having both adjustable I'd have the ability to tune it out.

I must admit, when they sent the photo of the rear end missing I experienced a wave of nausea, but after getting the car back I'm thrilled.

Update: Three wheel angled driveway entries are now a thing.

It can be done at home with the right equipment as others have posted. I‘m pretty sure it only cost me a couple hundred bucks to get it done. I’ll ask next time I’m in there how much it is exactly.

I usually start with both sway bars (softest setting each) and adjust the setup from there. For tracking it‘s a big upgrade over the OEM ones. Then I was able to start making suspension adjustments. It’s like better tires to me. I’m not going to go without them. So I might as well set the suspension up with them on.

If you got em, put them on for sure! The OEM ones take a lot of abuse on track. The Verkline ones will handle it better. After installed, get the camber plates & most aggressive alignment (negative camber) your can. You won’t be sorry you did nor wear the inside of those tires out 1st.
