Let’s wait and see once both cars are out how much difference there will be between the two. I’ll happily eat my words if I am wrong. I am not sure why you disagree with anything I said or even willing to entertain I may be somewhat right as you yourself don’t know for 100% if I am right or wrong or somewhere in the middle.

The Z4 and A90 are not completely different cars, true or false? They are probably more similar than the n/a Supra and the SC300 were.

Thanks man, I don’t know what I would do without your advice. I didn’t realize this forum is meant to only express an extremely positive reaction to anything A90 related. I am sure everyone involved in creating the A90 always agreed on everything :rolleyes1: I really want to love this car, that’s why I am on this site and I hope all my worries (there is a lot to worry about as an A80 owner) will disappear once the car is reveled and driven. Until then, respect others opinions as that’s all we have at the moment.
You're welcome . You can post whatever you want, but at least post in the correct thread. All MKV/A90 bashing goes here. :p Have I disrespected your opinion? I just pointed out that the new Supra isn't much smaller than its predecessor. If I sounded rude in anyways than my apologies.:nixon:

Not really. I do not consider a BMW Z4 with Toyota clothing an evolution of the A80 and if you do then you are just lying to yourself. Why can’t we all agree the A90 is a great looking car that will have great performance but it’s more of a BMW Z4 than a Toyota Supra? Even Toyota themselves have said it in other words. Sure there will be some differences but it will just be a Z4 tuned by Toyota.

Why people can’t face reality these days? Cool car? Yes! A real Toyota Supra? Only as much as the Z4 is one.
Would the upcoming Z4 exist, and exist in it's supposed capacity of a competent Boxter competitor if it weren't for the development of the Supra?

Going by this logic, we should be calling the 911 a "beetle tuned by Porsche"

Maybe, maybe not but you do realize that it’s not a Z4 based off of a Supra, it’s a Supra based off of a Z4.

Neither is true. You really need to read the development stories and interviews. This joint project resulted in a new co-developed platform to meet the needs of both BMW and Toyota. It wasn't like the Z4 was already in development and BMW asked Toyota if they wanted a reskin coupe version. If so, it wouldn't have taken 6 years and counting to develop.

Exactly, and by the looks of it, the Supra was in the works prior to the FT1

Shorter wheelbase (2 seater), but longer overall length (longer hood for the I6).

I'm 28 :)

You sure the I6 will be longer than the I4? I think both will have the same measurements; just the engine will be different. Take note that the 2.0-litre I4 variant’s main purpose is to serve those who want to do a 2JZ engine swap. So in the end, it will still be fitted with a 3.0-litre engine.

Beetle used to have rear-engine layout, and rear wheel drive as well; but now they have front-engine layout and front wheel drive. A lot have been changed to date. The Beetle may just have received a successor in terms of design only; but everything else is different. Porsche 911 has also seen a lot of changes, just like each and every 911 brand new are now available with turbocharged engines. No more NA. The recipé is still there. They just improved it. The original DNA is still there.

We were talking about in comparison to the 86.

I see...o_O For sure it will be heavier but faster than the 86. I believe more luxurious and sporty too. I’m expecting it to be more fun to drive as well. If it lives up to the hype, then we can say BMW > Subaru:nixon:.
