The question is not what you drive.

It's how you drive.

if you are planning to lead foot on every green light, no tire will save you in any temperature.

Having said that, PSS will be fine from negative temp to very hot as most street tires are designed to handle such condition. Will it grip as much in right temperature? the answer is "No".

If you are planning to drive it responsibly, you will be fine given that there are no ice or snow.

The summer tires have no grip at all in snow. I was driving to my grandmas a few days ago and the streets were not plowed because they were cobblestone.
I was halfway up a hill and my tires just spun and spun. I made my passenger go out and remove snow and push down on the car and up.
Lesson learned. I doubt even snow tires would have helped.

Stock tires suck below 50F. I switched to all seasons so I can drive on non-snowy days. Salt is a bitch here, but the car is almost entirely aluminum and plastic, corrosion isn't a major threat.

Summer tires having no grip in standing snow is a no brainer. Otherwise, what nibble said. I’ve driven my Supra around town/highway in temps as low as 15 degrees. The only problem is not having a heated steering wheel.

PS2’s can crack below 20 degrees F just pulling out of your driveway and the tire is ruined. The composition of the rubber is what makes them summer only.

A great all-season tire available in our sizes are the Continental Contact Sport - DWS tire.
(Dry Wet Snow)

I’ve had them on many cars over the years... and reasonably priced.

What's good about the PSS is its wide Temp coverage. Although if you really want that bang for a buck then go with the Continental DWS

I hear you. I thought we had it and then I was looking for it with no success, of course. So I thought I was going mad... :p

I too agree on the DWS06. They are on my WRX which is my winter car. No issue getting through snow.. but it is AWD. I don't drive my Supra in the winter.

You won't defy physics but dedicated winter/snow tires make all the difference in the world.

Here in Reno, Nevada it’s been averaging around 45 degrees and I take the car out any chance I get if there’s no snow on the ground. The stock tires have been perfectly fine but I also haven’t increased the power much aside from what an intake and charge pipe will add. I also drive pretty conservatively unless I find myself all alone on a wide open stretch. ?

~ ? I have these tires on my winter car as well (2016 GTI)... while it’s only FWD ... it still motors around well in the snow with the DWS tires.

The Supra is a fair weather car for me as well. When I’m in need of tires... I’m not sure I would eliminate a summer tire personally ... for I want the performance and grip out of the car in dry weather.

However... if I needed an all-season tire... the DWS all-season is the way to go.
