I dont know if this has been posted yet but if it is, take down my post.

I was just watching Albon do a rebuild on his wrecked 2020 Supra and he managed to make a DIY button for the trunk, that actually works?! i might as well just do this to mine.

He also explained in detail on what they did what they did.

It was great to see this get done, but as someone who has trouble changing the blinker fluid, its unlikely to get done on mine unless I had a whole heap of help.

yes. i agree /w remote release for now. don't want wait 3 min. to secure it to begin with and I'm too lazy to to open door and then press button for trunk behind... I'd rather open door and press trunk release inside and open trunk. I just feel that solution is adding more complexity and possible reason for dealer to deny warranty work..

good effort though..

I would love the trunk will open fully automatically when pressing the fob key. Does anyone thought about replacing the trunk lifts ?

Replaced my GT86's hood lifts. You don't open the hood as much, but went from 70's to modern era in $50 or something, beats putting the latch up. But, you still need to give it that initial lift.

~ I agree.

These assist struts are produced for the Volkswagen GTI (ESC Tuning) ... I wonder if they would work for our cars?!? I guess the length of the arm/shock would be the place to start.

I googled a bit.... it isnt that easy as it seems....

but I found sth wonderful.....

I think this should be possible on our cars.
