Hello MKVforum! I’ve been lurking here for a while. Learned so much about the A90. Thank you all that contributed and helped make the Supra much more enjoyable. Here is my 2020 with some usual bolt-ons.

Just picked up a used A90 in Georgia with 14k miles, dealership said it was stock, I arrived and quickly noticed it already had a Catless DP, intake, chargepipe, Titan-protune and it's on lowering springs.. nothing wrong with free bolt ons lol It has quickly stolen the spotlight from my FD rx7 ?

Feel free to follow me on IG, I'll def follow back, I need more A90 content on my feed lol

Quick update. Just got a call back from the dealership and they said it was odd the seat is like that, so they're going to send the pic and my VIN to Toyota for a warranty replacement. They said they can't guarantee it will happen since it's up to Toyota to approve it but the SA sounded pretty confident it will happen.

I'll hold off on bucket seats for now... However, I have been looking into the Schroth harnesses and am wondering if I can get one to with the OEM seats and a Cusco harness bar. I like added safety and less upper body movement.

Something seems to be strange with my drivers seat, or maybe it’s normal after 300 miles.

It seems to be worn as if it has 3000 miles on it, but I just got it today. Does anyone else’s seat look like this? The grain on the bottom cushion is pretty smooth compared to the rest of the seat, as if it’s been driven for a while.

I’m only 160lbs so it’s not like I’m stretching it cos weight lol.

I have 1600 miles on mine and the seats look like they’re brand new, I’m also…definitely not 160 lbs. My guess is it was a showroom car with 100+ people climbing in and out of it every day for months. I’d look for abnormal wear on all the high touch areas from people climbing in and out and playing speed racer in the showroom. Side skirts, handles, wheel, shifters, etc.

The production date/order date says April 2021 and it was delivered to the dealership less than a month ago and was only on their lot for 17 days before I got it. Had 9 miles on it before they drove it up. Don’t think it was a showroom vehicle. Car was immaculate otherwise. I checked the outside, door sills, inside the doors for shoe/boot scuffs, touch screens, all that. For some reason, just never looked at the seat… I think someone tried to blend out a scratch or scuff. I’ve seen how it’s done before on used car seats, and the technique usually works if the leather is already a bit worn but not on brand new leather that has untouched grain. When it gets smoothed out, it’s apparent.

So its a tunable 2021? Check the DME date you may have gotten quite lucky.

Are really recent ones tunable? I intentionally chose a 2021 production date vehicle because I just wanted the most recent one possible, didn’t care much about tuning but would be a nice perk. I’ll check the DME date (will search on how to do that).

That part of the seat is the bottom you sit on. Attached is a slightly more zoomed out version which is what I sent the dealership.

My apologies. I now see you said April/2021. I read April 2020 for some reason. So no, you're not tunable.

DO NOT ADD A HARNESS TO A FACTORY SEAT!!
I know alot of people do it but it's not safe...
The belts would not sit squarely on your shoulders because they would have to come around the seats at an angle...
The webbing in the belts are not made to be stretched in that direction if something should happen...

As far as bucket seats...definitely couldn't go wrong with either sparco or recaro...
I had both in my 911...started with sparco...comfortable seats but a little to much room for me..I'm a thin guy...I wanted something a little tighter to fit my frame and switched to recaro....for me they were/are the perfect bucket...pricey but GREAT SEATS...

Yeah I found that out with some research. No harness for now until full buckets go in.

So, I hit 500 miles and decided to start a hard break in. Been contemplating waiting vs just sending it. I decided to send it after a newer Mustang GT decided to race me. We ended up neck and neck and we gave each other a thumbs up.

Next I decided to do a few 0-60 and 1/4 mile runs. Not sure if anyone else here has timed theirs yet, so if you’re interested me times are below. I was actually a little disappointed in the times compared to my tuned base 718 Cayman I had (2.0 L).

My 718 Cayman ran a 3.87s 0-60 and a 12.23s 1/4 mile @ 112 MPH using launch control.

My 21 Supra ran a 4.27s 0-60 and a 12.29s 1/4 mile @ 113.09 MPH, no launch control and in manual mode. MPH seems low compared to other 2021 Supra's I've seen 1/4 miles times on (stock) and it didn't pull as hard as I thought it would. DA was 2637. Not sure why MPH is slow, I did end the run on a slight incline so maybe that's why.

Overall, the Supra feels faster than my 718, which is odd. I think it's due to faster and more instant toque on tap. The 718, especially the base model, had a decent amount of turbo lag.

Also, I assume there’s a rev limiter, right? I accidentally launched it not remembering I had it in manual gear selection mode and it was in redline for a tad. I’m sure the engine is fine, even though I’m still in “break in” period. After some research I’ve done (YouTube, Reddit, here… if that counts as research) I believe the engine is 99% broken in after 200-300 miles. Hence why I decided to send it and drive it hard. I have a track day coming up July 11.

Outside of that one major redline, I hit redline probably 5-6 times in total so far just when going down on ramps. Checked oil levels and it reads max after 500 miles. So far so good.

Personally , I wouldn’t have them touch the seats. They look fine to me and I wouldn’t want to risk the dealership messing something else up in the process of replacing it.

Hey guys and Gals!
Brett Horton here... I have owned one Mk1, Two Mk 2's, 4 MK3's and waiting on my MK5!
Thinking of going with the Phantom Matte Grey....
I sold my 2016 C7 Z06 (Was a beast) but only for about 1.5 laps... SMH
I was ALWAYS worried about cracking wheels, the damn thing overheating at the trach (I did three of three times I had it at the track, I also had the "recall" done on the new radiator / trans flash.. DId not help much at all) Crazy fast car, on the street but NOT A TRACK CAR in the least bit....
I am looking forward to getting back into a Supra again, I just hope it does ok on the track (Two or Three events a year)
Already learned a ton on the forum guys thanks!
Obviously this is the sold Vette... I did love the car, it just kept on disappointing me...
