A91 & Recent 2021 Impossible to Tune / ECU manufactured after 2020/6 is locked? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Really? Where did you get this info? I was under the impression from several threads and FB groups that any day in 06/20 was not able to be tuned. I have a 06/26/20 and have been waiting for a crack all this time.

So I found a shop that has successfully unlocked and tuned 06/06/2020 cars. I'll be heading there this month with everything. I'll keep everyone posted.

Ah perhaps you are correct. I was always under the impression it was 06/30/20 or under and you are gtg.

Yeah, idk why people would respond to me saying "read the 60 pages" or anything similar. It has been said over and over anything made in June or later was not tuneable. Hence, my question lol

No one is reading 60 pages of information. Usually for something this long you would have someone update the first post or create threadmarks to link people directly to informative posts.

And even for people who have read damn near every page (like myself) there is so MUCH conflicting information. Then half the posts are people being complete assholes/belittling others

Anyway... Here's some actual useful information for people in the North Carolina area.

National Speed in Dumbarton, VA and Wilmington, NC has stated that June 25th, 2020 is their cutoff date for locked ECUs. They don't seem to have come across one that they haven't been able to unlock and tune that is before June 26. I even looked at their work orders to see what the dates were for the various June ECUs they had in the shop.

CES Motorsports in Charlotte, NC labels June as a "grey" area since some cars have been successful and some haven't.

Some shops don't even look at the damn thing if it's in June. One shop basically told me no even after I told them that I'd be willing to pay for them to check. Their tuner had an 06/XX/2020 ECU and since his couldn't be unlocked I guess they figured fuck everyone else.

I'll be heading over to National Speed myself to see if my June 6th ECU is a candidate for unlocking.

You don't have to read all 60 pages... you only have to read a few to find another time when someone who didn't understand the issue either claimed they knew someone who cracked the ECU. It will be all over social media and this thread will jump with new posts when it happens. Its very likely not going to be some random shop you walk up to and say "can you tune my supra?"

Once it's unlocked, it's unlocked and some folks seem to be getting close.
