How many people are swapping to 6 port head? And how direct of a swap is it? Not that I'm looking to do that swap now but just curious for the potential future.

What is expensive about it? They do bolt right up (I've seen them both off in the same shop), Are you referring to just sourcing the 6 port head?It can be done but will be expensive
The cylinder head is a separate part but expensive itself plus hours of labor to guarantee proper installation. What is expensive about it? They do bolt right up (I've seen them both off in the same shop), Are you referring to just sourcing the 6 port head?
Oh - I was assuming if you were one of those in the camp where the extra ports on the head were necessary for your power goals you'd be doing the work yourself. I can't even begin to imagine someone else doing a head swap on one of my cars. ha.The cylinder head is a separate part but expensive itself plus hours of labor to guarantee proper installation.
Much more common for cars to be built by a shop these days than by the owner but of course if you have the knowledge to work on these motors yourself it would be cost effectiveOh - I was assuming if you were one of those in the camp where the extra ports on the head were necessary for your power goals you'd be doing the work yourself. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a32461333/2021-toyota-supra-dyno-tested/Before we get too far away from 2020 and 2021 cars being low mileage and stock, I really wish we could get a '20 and '21 owner together on the same dyno, in the same conditions, and do some pulls to see truly what difference exists in power being put to the ground in stock form. Anyone know of a situation where this has been done? I can find stock pulls for both, but never at the same time, same dyno, same conditions, There's always some caveat, like one person has X minor mod or X was done 6 hours later when it was 20 degrees cooler.
Hell, I'd even gladly pay for the dyno time if someone could hook it up.
Car & Driver - how'd I miss that one? Thanks for this!
