They had me at gauges (real and virtual) which actually show things I want to know... if it has a real dipstick - I'm sold. Meh, who am I kidding... I've had two already and it's time for another one.

I'll be keeping the MKV though... and I'll be counting the days until I can replace the front facia with something from the aftermarket that looks less stupid. :p And based on my history with Z's and G's... I'll expect to have to replace the seats within the first week of ownership.

Did they mention the curb weight? I have a feeling its going to be north of 3500 lbs

I've always loved the Z cars. But I'm keeping the Supra. As much as I'd like to play Jay Leno, I only have room for one 2-seat sports car at a time. :rolleyes1:

It probably won't be too far north of that... the 2020 370Z was right on that amount and the Q60 Red Sport RWD is just over 3800... but that's got rear seats, better seats, and much more insulation, etc.

I'd guess 3,550... but no idea really.

Edit... oops.. 3880 for the Q60RS RWD... so maybe 3,600 for the new Z?:hmm:

Exactly the Infiniti was always 200 - 300lbs heavier going back to the G35 coupe/350z.

My 370Z was an absolute oil cooker. I have. YUGE after market oil cooler in it and that did the trick. I like it, and I like the New Z, but not more than the Supra. We'll (probably) get the new Z, but not sell the Supra for it.

I do like what they did with the dash in addition to providing a manual.

Front 3/4 view looks strikingly similar to the GR86. Seems like they should have announced pricing, since the car is ridiculously similar to the prototype they showed last year. Very glad they're offering a manual, although I was never a big fan of the 6MT in the 370Z.

I test drove a '21 Nissan Versa a little while back because its the cheapest car on sale with Carplay and Adaptive Cruise. It was by far the lowest slowest car I've ever driven, but the interior was surprisingly nice relative to Nissans of the past and its $17k price point. Hopefully they carry some of that improvement forward into the Z.

The name Nissan Z sounds dumb.

Am I the only one who didn't like the blue interior? There's too much blue. Like Supra's red and CF goes well together, but with Z they just draw a line and that's it. Maybe steering wheel needs to match?
