I think moderate powered cars you can over drive are fun. High hp manuals are a waste if you are serious about 1/4 or road track and being fast.
There will always be something faster
Three will always be something that can make you faster

But I can guarantee you my car is 10x more fun at 600whp than it was in the 300's lol. And that's what this is about.

Also would be cool to see someone like Grannas Racing really build it up for stick shift classes.

dealer here is asking 1,000 non refundable deposit...*sigh*
Seems more than fair, but they'd have to refund it if they can't get one, I'd also get "at MSRP" in writing.

The challenge for Toyota is that they'll have to content with dealer-side markup. I didn't think the Supra was worth the 56K I paid (it was a 58K sticker) and I don't think it'll be worth more than 60k if it's just getting a manual. I think the biggest upgrade this car needs is suspension and traction tuning; otherwise, the manual will make a dicey driving experience even a bit more of an exercise. It's fun but for the wrong reasons. Heck, the guys that race the Supra on the autobahn are scared of the car and they're professional drivers.

DIDN'T -- past tense. By today's standards (and in this market), it's definitely worth it. But, let's be clear, the SS 1LE is a better performing car AND the Corvette isn't that far off in price. Also, let's not forget how many people were complaining about the price when this car came out. Have you forgotten about all of that? Lastly, the 400z looks to undercut the price by 10K!

This is tempting! Definitely considering trading mine in for a manual.

Funny how everyone dogged on the auto and now that the tables have flipped, it’s not fair anymore. Interesting lol
Yep paying more for less performance. I was very 'manual' until my 17M2 with DCT. Unbelievable fun and control. Faster. 70% DCT order rate in Germany. Putting power down and enjoying it with a manual mode as well. Total win.

Please drive a manual. A choice personal. The crying about the lack of them is the PROBLEM from journalists/purist in the media and it takes over forums. The implication is also a macho line of dog shite as well. Alludes to others not driving manuals as less. Let the F1 drivers know that LOL.

Again the worlds literal best sportscar doesnt offer it and its for good reason. They are no longer really effective at putting the power down that is avail. Corvette.

400Z is a inferior powertrain for one. Camaro visibility is beyond horrible its like driving a submarine you can only see in front of you.
