I think Toyota may have already given us a sneak peek of what's to come with both the heritage and wasabi editions.

1. New head and taillight houses.
2. Some functional vents.
3. Making the door one whole piece.

Those were back in 2019 and heritage is for sure not happening. I don't think it made it even into the aftermarket despite many "drooling" over MK4 design comeback... Not gonna happen for a facelift. Maybe for limited edition special something.
Wasabi didn't have anything but diffuser/mid exhaust...

I strongly believe the lights, vents, door are design features of the car and it'd be like Toyota accepting fault in those to "fix" them with a facelift.
These and targa are never happening.

Refresh my memory, which Supra had functional vents?

Bro, we were talking about blending in the door piece, aka no lines.

Never said anything about a targa top. :dunno:

Yeah, they really need to do something with the bottom section of the steering wheel. Even the unit on the cheap Z looks better.

It may look better but how does it actually feel; will the material hold up over time?
Not sure, I haven't personally sat in one but all of the people that have did not complain. Granted, they were both pre-production cars and performance trims.

1. Blend in fake side vents and hood vents (massive eyesore and honestly sometimes it makes me feel like trading it in)
If you're thinking about trading your car in because of some stylistic weirdness.. I guess, more power to ya. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

6. Drilled brake rotors

7. More aesthetic differences between 3.0 vs 2.0
These are a little bizarre. The factory brakes perform really well. I suppose I don't do any circuit or AutoX style racing, only drag, but I've been been in a shutdown so short where the factory brake under perform..

No idea why you care about how the other model looks to you. Is this like a weird "i bought the 3.0" flex thing?

10. Add Sport+ and make Sport not hang 3rd and 4th gears as much on auto
Sport+ sucks. It messes with timing and boost control at weird places in the powerband. 3rd and 4th gear hang around 3k RPMs so you're already in a boost-y spot in the powerband.

Overall, solid list.

Don't chop off my head if I'm wrong, but I think some of the vents on the GT4 car are functional.

I'm not the biggest fan of the 4 banger, but most people can't tell the differences between the NA and turbo A70 and A80. With that said it seems that Tada-san did want to further differentiate the two, but due to timing and the fact that testing on the B48 only started halfway into the product development as an afterthought made it unfeasible. I think if it wasn't for the bean counters and deadlines he would have wanted to spin off the 2.0 as its own separate (cough cough Celica...).

How about blatant cheesiness for the vents?

And why do you care about what I care about so much? Yes, I do want it further distinguished because it's supposed to be. BMW and Toyota go out of their way to distinguish their larger displacement models - heck I think every manufacturer does and has been doing it for a very long time.

Ya glad you think my list is solid ?
