New owner of a 2022 3.0 here; had it about a month now. Loving it so far.
Prior to the Supra, I owned a 2013 FR-S (1st gen 86); bought it brand new in May of 2012 and kept it for ten years. With my kids now either out of high school or reaching driving age, I no longer needed the tiny backseat, and given the rapidly approaching end of the ICE sports car, I knew time was running short on getting the car I wanted to replace the FR-S. I tossed around a bunch of ideas - base C8, slightly used Cayman, etc. - before settling here.
I am extremely picky about color, and had originally wanted Renaissance Red. However, the more I looked at pictures of Nitro Yellow, the more I liked it, and my wife, son, and father were all firmly on Team Yellow. The Supra's styling is very aggressive, perhaps even obnoxious, and an aggressive, obnoxious color just suits it. I ended up going up to PA from VA to get the Nitro, and I'm glad I did.
Amusingly, my first name is Mark, the first initial of my last name is V, and I have no middle name, so I'm literally Mark V. Guess owning this car was just fate.
Vanity plate is, of course, pure snark, and a not-so-subtle dig at the "iTs a BmW" mouthbreathers that have nothing else constructive to add.
