2022 GR Supra 3.0
New owner of a 2022 3.0 here; had it about a month now. Loving it so far.

Prior to the Supra, I owned a 2013 FR-S (1st gen 86); bought it brand new in May of 2012 and kept it for ten years. With my kids now either out of high school or reaching driving age, I no longer needed the tiny backseat, and given the rapidly approaching end of the ICE sports car, I knew time was running short on getting the car I wanted to replace the FR-S. I tossed around a bunch of ideas - base C8, slightly used Cayman, etc. - before settling here.

I am extremely picky about color, and had originally wanted Renaissance Red. However, the more I looked at pictures of Nitro Yellow, the more I liked it, and my wife, son, and father were all firmly on Team Yellow. The Supra's styling is very aggressive, perhaps even obnoxious, and an aggressive, obnoxious color just suits it. I ended up going up to PA from VA to get the Nitro, and I'm glad I did.

Amusingly, my first name is Mark, the first initial of my last name is V, and I have no middle name, so I'm literally Mark V. Guess owning this car was just fate.

Vanity plate is, of course, pure snark, and a not-so-subtle dig at the "iTs a BmW" mouthbreathers that have nothing else constructive to add. ;)

This. I like to call it, "Fuck Off" Yellow because it really expresses how little I care about what anyone else thinks. Aggressive; Obnoxious; In your face; BMW.. Just deal with it.

And nice plates. ?

Sup dudes. Currently drive an ISF and just sold my s2000 to get a ‘23 manual in any other metallic color since turbulence grey is gone?. Currently waiting on an allocation from a friend who has some pull at Toyota.

Just took delivery of my 2022 3.0 premium in absolute zero and red interior. I don’t even have 100 miles on it yet, but I’m loving it so far. I read through a lot of posts and it seems most people had fast cars before but not me. My “fast” cars in the past was a 2001 prelude and a 2003 maxima. Fun enough cars but not even close to this. Even staying out of sport mode and keeping the revs below 4500 for the break-in, this thing is ridiculous compared to anything I’ve ever driven.

This is also my first rear wheel drive car, so there’s that. Also my first 2 pedal car in a while (unless you count my wife’s Rubicon) which is still weird. I’m in the rust belt so I kept my TSX for winter and rainy days so I’ll still get some three pedal action from time to time. Not excited to drive the Acura at all right now but if nothing else, it will renew my appreciation for the Supra.

Welcome! White over red would have been my choice but would have taken too long so I went with red
Used to drive an 01 Prelude SH back in my college days.
I think FISHBULB would be a great custom license plate for you with your username

I had a deposit down and told the dealer I was cool with any color except red and yellow and either interior, but white over red was always my first choice. Then when the manuals were announced I told them I would wait until then and to put me down for a 2023. They called me like a week later offering me this 22 in white and red and I decided I didn’t want to wait for 2023 (I put my deposit down in December 2021)

Plus my wife’s Rubicon is white with black and red interior so now we match ?

And FISHBULB, I may just have to do that next year as I’m sure the dealership is just getting me regular plates (and honestly the new Ohio plates are atrocious)

Nice. Just got mine and it’s the same color. Definitely want to get a carbon spoiler like that. They look great on all colors but especially great on white.
Did you smoke out the side reflectors? I don’t really care for the color matched ones but I do have some smoked vinyl laying around and was thinking about wrapping them

Hey thanks bro, and yeah I smoked out the reflectors Aswell as the taillights. I also wasn't really huge on getting paint matched reflectors, might do it down the line but eh.
