So I’m finishing my track oriented build this winter. One item I want to do is scrap the KW DDC coilovers and go with something better for the track.

Car is mainly driven on the track, so no daily concerns at all.
What are you guys running, or what’s the go to?

What's your budget? You would be happy with anything from Fortune Auto to Moton. Depends on what you are willing to spend :)

good point. I’d say I have about 5kish left on this years build budget. If I can sell the KW for something that would add to it I guess.

Hm... well, for track use, I like Fortune Auto. They seem to do really well in general, and I assume they work as well for the Supra as other platforms. Super reasonably priced. Anything cheaper is worse.
For a bump above those, I like MCS. Not sure if they make a coilover for the Supra.
I'm currently using AST on one of my other car. I really like those as well.
Since I haven't learned to tune coilovers, I stick with single adjustables. If you take the time to learn them, double would be really nice to have. Price goes up, though.

Eibach springs and front & rear sway bars feel phenomenal to me. Couple that with some SPL goodies = shazam ⚡
Off topic but I'm thinking a seat would be sweeeetttttt.... Feels so planted!!!!

Edit: coilovers eventually… but for now, this is really nice :)

Yup, ran this season with front and rear sway bars, all of the SPL items, and the KW DDC. I think the coils are the weak link for what I’m looking for. Taking aggressive turns it feels squishy, don’t know how to explain its. Just looking for a more predictable set up

Not a Corvette.
Used Ohlins in the past, now use MCS 2 way non remote. Ruined me for anything less. A+ 100% would recommend.

I still drive to/from the track, no trailer. They ride really well. This is the big difference between lower cost and higher cost.

The cheap Fortune, etc coilovers have their place, but I have literally never met ANYONE that has gone from those type to higher end and said "well, I kinda can't feel the difference, why did I spend more?"

KW is crap unless you go super high end KW.

If you see fast time attack cars with Fortune, BC, etc, it's because they are sponsored.

I am running Ohlins and they are great. MCS is a step up from there. Night and day from lowering springs.
Dammit… now that’s on my bucket list too!

Are these plug and play? Someone pinged this thread and now seeing your post/response again. I’d much rather follow your lead. Appreciate your extensive knowledge and track experience with this car! You know my biggest dilemma, the ability to reset the computer if anything is off.

I also run KW DDCs and agree they arent stiff enough for the track. Theyre not bad mind you, but if youre mostly track, youre on the right track to get something different.
Ohlins if youre cost sensitive. Theres a few shops that can even custom valve/spring them.
Moton/MCS/JRZ if youre not.
