Why did you choose mhd and not bm3? I sent mine to get unlocked and I'm choosing bm3 because it has more features compared to mhd
Tuner/ The extra features bm3 has were not ones I was going to utilize anyways. I have not reason to switch maps on the fly while driving and I want to use a dedicated tune to get the most out of it rather then use flex fuel option. And mhd will eventually have those features available even if I did want to use them. It's not really a big deal for me. There were also some other smaller technical reasons why but I can't remember at the moment.

JB4 isn't like a full flash tune, so a downpipe isn't a giant thing on JB4 you should be pretty close on the stock system I believe. I just had a cat back and kept the stock downpipe.
So i'm assuming a pro tune (non ots) on MHD with a downpipe will yield a much better powerband and higher peak numbers than JB4. Let's say 450ish on 93 octane?

I actually asked Jesse this question and he said with his tune and a catless dp and intake im around 450ish

The MHD OTS maps are good. I spent months getting a "pro" tune for e40 and it was worse than the OTS e30 tune.
This is what mine made with the OTS e30 map on a hub dyno.

I read the whole thread but no one has really answered the OPā€™s question, which I also would like to know.

What is say a custom Jesse Map on JB4 HP wise.. Is it 4hp, is it 40 hp More?

We have quite a few dyno runs with cars just running Map 2 and Map 3 and I was hoping heā€™d have some results on the website but there arenā€™t. If youā€™re gonna charge $575 for a tune I would hope you would put some real world results. Here is JB4 stock map 2, 3 and here is my custom tune see the awesome difference. But there isnā€™t anything. Just a dyno graph showing 500hp but is that just a random graph, what mods, etc.

A lot of what Iā€™ve read here and seen on youtube is ā€œfeels greatā€, ā€œlove itā€, ā€œ you should do itā€ but all butt Dyno no real world custom JB4 custom tune results. I ā€œloveā€ my Map3 tune on my JB4 but is his tune gonna make more power (safely) than the out of the box tunes that have been perfected over 10ā€™s of thousands of cars and Dynoā€™s? Am I gonna spend $600 and it not make any more power just feel different?

An aside: Iā€™m not taking the ECU out and unlocking (though my 2/20 car may be unlocked) Iā€™m already down the road of JB4, I have an extended warranty and If I want to i can remove it for dealer work or ECU updates the dealer might have without fussing with having to go pay someone to flash or reflash or take the ECU. For me this is the solution I chose and I want to make it the best it can be. IS there better, sure But this works for me.

So anyone actually Dyno a JB4 custom tune, map 6 or even better did you do before and after on a Dyno or drag strip between stock JB4 maps and custom JB4 Map (Jesseā€™s or anyone elseā€™s)? hard to drop $600 with no proof in the pudding as they say.

would also like to see them add AFR on the dyno charts everyone posts. Make sure itā€™s safe.

I don't have a dyno sheet, but I can add. Car ran 11.4x with a shit 60' (stock axles, didn't want to load) with a Jesse tune. Figure my weight, the 60', the car's weight, DA of the day, etc. etc. Comes out to about 500hp (give or take 10-15hp). E40 w/ Meth. Car was safe, AFRs were fine.

Thank you iā€™m running 93 here in FL as well, itā€™s hot, itā€™s muggy its not ideal. We get good air like 4 days a year LOL.

As for the facebook post if itā€™s possible to find out was Map 1-4 also run with E85 or did they do a custom map 6 to run E85? That is a big difference since the higher HP would be more a result of E85 and less a result of custom tuning using 93 across the board.

What I think is helpful for all of us to understand, who use JB4, is was custom tune really made available so you can tune alternative fuels and if your just gonna run 93 across the board probably not gonna make much difference between say map 3/4 and custom on 93. Iā€™m sure a bunch of us donā€™t want to throw away $600 and get basically what we already had.
